Free agent forward Trevor Booker worked out for the Bucks this week.
The Bucks have 14 players on guaranteed contracts. Booker didn’t play in the NBA last season, due in part to a procedure on his foot back in October of 2018. In 2017-18, appeared in a total of 68 games for the Nets, 76ers and Pacers and averaged 6.3 points and 4.7 rebounds per game.
  • IND Power Forward #20
Trevor Booker recently worked out for the Denver Nuggets, and he is scheduled to work out for the Bucks and Clippers.
The NBA world has had enough Devin Booker double-team talk, but what about Trevor Booker news? The big man was out of the league last year partially due to a procedure on his foot back in October of 2018. He was planning to play in China, though, so he might be headed overseas again.
  • IND Power Forward #20
Trevor Booker will undergo a procedure on his foot this week.
Booker signed with the Shanxi Brave Dragons in China, but he’s expected to be cleared in time to pursue an NBA comeback around February.
  • BKN Power Forward #0
Andray Blatche (calf) practiced on Thursday.
Barring a setback, Blatche is fully expected to make his return for Saturday’s matchup with the Cavs. It’s unclear exactly what role he’ll have after missing 15 straight games, but the Wizards’ lineup is certainly in flux as they’ve lost six in a row. A timeshare with current starting power forward Trevor Booker is a good bet initially, with upside for more if Blatche keeps his head on straight.
  • BKN Power Forward #0
Andray Blatche scored four points on 2-of-9 shooting with four rebounds, one assist, one steal, and three blocks in 21 minutes off the bench on Thursday.
Blatche is just a roster stash at best right now. Though he gets a boost with the exits of Nick Young and JaVale McGee, it is offset by the acquisition of Nene who plays his position. Kevin Seraphin started at center tonight, too, scoring 12 points with nine boards and two blocks in 29 minutes. Factor in Trevor Booker (14 points, five boards, two blocks), and Blatche is in a real mess. All of that said, though, when teams get shook up it’s a good time for a talent like Blatche to try to right the ship.
  • IND Power Forward #20
Trevor Booker left Friday’s game in the first quarter due to plantar fasciitis in his left foot and his return is questionable.
This might be the straw that breaks the camel’s back and Kevin Seraphin is worth a speculative look in 12-team formats, or for those needing a big man.
  • IND Power Forward #20
Trevor Booker (foot, knee) is starting in Thursday’s game against the Pacers.
Booker is battling plantar fasciitis in his left and soreness in his right knee. But when he’s been active of late, he’s been an asset. Over Booker’s last 13 games, he’s averaging 11.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, 0.6 blocks and 0.6 steals. Kevin Seraphin will function as primary backup at both frontcourt spots Thursday.
  • NBA Center #1
Kevin Seraphin scored 15 points on 6-of-13 shooting with nine rebounds, one assist, and three blocks in the Wizards’ loss to the Nets on Friday.
Seraphin hadn’t blocked a shot in three games, so he made up for it tonight and showed owners that at least it’s possible that he might solidify that part of his game. We don’t yet have an indication of how long Trevor Booker and Nene will be out with their plantar fasciitis injuries, so keep trotting Seraphin out there until we do.
  • NBA Center #42
Nene (foot) and Trevor Booker (foot) have been ruled out of Friday’s game against the Nets.
Not a huge surprise considering that each was not expected to play, but this is confirmation that they’ll continue to miss time. Kevin Seraphin, who is averaging 13.1 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.2 blocks as a starting center, is once again a strong fantasy play. Jan Vesely will draw another start at power forward.
  • IND Power Forward #20
Trevor Booker (foot) has been ruled out of Friday’s game against the Nets.
This will mark Booker’s fifth straight missed game. Jan Vesely will continue to fill in at power forward, where he’s scored 10 points in three of his last four starts and is shooting well above 60 percent in each of those four contests.
