Theo Pinson recorded a triple-double on Sunday with 23 points (8-for-16 FGs), 13 rebounds, 12 assists, one steal and five 3-pointers in a 138-117 loss to San Antonio.
This game went about as well as it should’ve for Dallas. After opting to not try and make the play-in, Dallas ended their season with a blowout loss to a tanking team. It ended up being the right decision, since OKC won their final two games, and now Dallas has a very good chance at securing a top ten pick. Pinson had a small role early in the season, but he hasn’t played much since February. He set career-highs in this game for points, rebounds, assists and 3-pointers. Jaden Hardy led the team with 25 points with seven of their eight players that played scoring in double figures. It will be a much longer summer than their last one was, and they’ll need to make some moves to get back to the postseason next year.

Tim Hardaway Jr. will not return to Saturday’s matchup with the Kings due to right hamstring tightness.
THJ had a solid first half, going for six points, seven boards, two assists and two triples across 16 minutes, but a tight right hammy will keep him sidelined for quarters 3 and 4. Expect Josh Green to continue soaking up minutes and usage, with Jaden Hardy, Theo Pinson and Reggie Bullock getting some extra playing time as well.

  • FA Point Guard #44
Frank Ntilikina (left knee soreness) is out for Sunday’s game against the Lakers.
Ntilikina has been dealing with a sore left knee for a little while now. His absence leaves the Mavericks light on the perimeter, as Josh Green (elbow) is also out. Theo Pinson and McKinley Wright IV may get some minutes on the back end of the rotation, but neither is worth streaming.

  • DET Shooting Guard #8
Tim Hardaway Jr. has been ruled out of Wednesday’s matchup with the Pelicans due to right foot soreness.
With THJ out of action, we’d expect a bump in minutes for the likes of Josh Green, Theo Pinson, Spencer Dinwiddie and even Facundo Campazzo. Christian Wood will likely take on a larger role on offense alongside Luka Doncic.

  • DAL Shooting Guard #1
Theo Pinson has re-signed with Dallas on a one-year contract, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Pinson played 7.8 minutes per game last season in 19 appearances. He missed so many games with a broken right finger, and he didn’t play much when he returned. He’s mostly remembered for always wearing street clothes that were the same color at the opposing team’s jersey during the postseason. He won’t see the court enough to impact fantasy hoops.

Theo Pinson (broken fifth metacarpal) will play against the Pistons on Wednesday.
Pinson has only played in one game since January. While this is great news for him, this won’t have an impact on fantasy hoops.

Theo Pinson (broken fifth metacarpal) has been ruled out for Friday’s game against the Timberwolves.
This is your (close to) monthly update on Pinson, who wasn’t a consistent member of the Mavericks rotation when healthy. Consider him to be out indefinitely until the Mavericks say otherwise.

  • DAL Shooting Guard #1
Theo Pinson (broken finger) won’t suit up for Tuesday’s game vs. the Lakers.
He’s typically a non-factor in the rotation, so his playing status is meaningless in terms of fantasy hoops. We won’t update him again until he’s made progress with the injury, but he’s safe to leave on the waiver wire in all formats.

  • DAL Shooting Guard #1
Theo Pinson (right finger) has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Warriors.
Pinson will miss his fourth straight game, however, he isn’t a rotation player, and this news won’t affect fantasy.

  • DAL Shooting Guard #1
Theo Pinson (right fifth finger fracture) has been ruled out for Friday’s game against the Jazz.
While an important figure in the Mavericks locker room, Pinson has no kind of impact when it comes to fantasy basketball. The broken finger won’t impact his ability to fire up his teammates, or his fantasy value.
