Terrence Williams scored 11 points on 5-of-10 shooting with three rebounds, three assists, and three steals in 24 minutes off the bench on Thursday.
We would have liked to have seen more minutes for Williams, but Keith Smart decided to roll with Jimmer Fredette for 22 minutes and that cut into his load. The good news is that Smart is very high on Williams, and he should be worth starting consideration at least while Marcus Thornton is out and possibly beyond.
  • WAS Shooting Guard #25
Marcus Thornton (thigh) was “walking much better,” but he’s still not ready to play.
Sacramento’s next game is on Saturday against the Clippers, so Thornton has time to get ready for the next one. If he’s still unable to go, Terrence Williams should be the primary beneficiary from a fantasy standpoint.
  • LAL Shooting Guard #55
Terrence Williams said he hopes to re-sign with the Kings this summer, after averaging 8.8 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 18 games.
T-Will said he wants to wrap up his free agency quickly, and would be inclined to accept “a good deal for a couple of years” from the Kings. As we’ve noted before, Williams is worth keeping a very close eye on, especially if Sacramento trades Tyreke Evans this offseason.
  • LAL Shooting Guard #55
Kings sign G/F Terrence Williams to a 10-day contract.
T-Will wasn’t happy in Houston, where he’d fallen completely out of the rotation, but his prospects aren’t too much better in Sacramento. He’ll compete with a crowded wing rotation that includes Tyreke Evans, Marcus Thornton, John Salmons, Francisco Garcia, Travis Outlaw and Donte Greene.

The Kings will sign Terrence Williams to a 10-day contract, sources tell SI.com’s Sam Amick.
Williams was waived by the Rockets on Friday, the second team that has given up on him in three NBA seasons. The 2009 No. 11 overall pick certainly has versatile talent, but hasn’t shown any signs of “getting it” yet. The small forward spot in Sacramento is crowded as John Salmons is currently backing up Tyreke Evans there.

Terrence Williams didn’t end up starting on Tuesday, but it didn’t matter, as he racked up 16 points, six rebounds, five assists and two blocks on 7-of-10 shooting in 31 minutes.
Williams is getting nice run with Marcus Thornton injured, and could continue to be a factor once Thornton is healthy. He’s averaging 10 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists and a steal over his last five games, and those numbers are on the rise after his last two strong lines. Give him a look if you need someone who can help your team right now.
  • LAL Shooting Guard #55
Terrence Williams scored 10 points on 5-of-11 shooting with nine rebounds and six assists in 29 minutes off the bench in Friday’s blowout loss.
Williams had a disaster game on Tuesday but has refused to go away since then, and he’s well worth fantasy consideration for the chance he can eke out value as a reserve for the Kings.
  • FA Shooting Guard #12
Tyreke Evans played just 14 minutes in the Kings’ blowout loss to the Thunder on Friday, scoring two points on 1-of-5 shooting with one rebound and one assist.
Evans got into early foul trouble, but that doesn’t explain how he got benched for most of the second half. After initially embracing his role as the team’s small forward, lately Evans has appeared to take on all of the bad habits that got him moved off the ball in the first place. Also a touchy issue is the presence of Terrence Williams, who is a cheaper version of Evans that passes the ball with better reliability. Owners shouldn’t panic, but it’s a situation worth monitoring.

Terrence Williams (illness) will play on Thursday against the Lakers.
Williams has seen the action go away from him lately, but he has opened eyes around the arena and is a sneaky, albeit incredibly risky play tonight. Travis Outlaw has been given the burn recently with Marcus Thornton out, but it could be time for one last look at Williams before the Kings make offseason decisions about Tyreke Evans.
  • PHI Small Forward #28
Travis Outlaw will start for injured Marcus Thornton (quad) on Thursday against the Lakers.
Outlaw hung 20 points on the Thunder on Tuesday, and is worth a look for the desperate (preferably in deeper formats). Terrence Williams is also playing tonight, and both guys hope to be the recipients of some garbage time love.
