Svi Mykhailiuk led the Jazz with 27 points (10-of-20 FGs), three rebounds, three assists and five three-pointers in a 145-111 loss to the Thunder on Friday.
Mykhailiuk, who hadn’t scored in double figures since March 5, shattered his previous season-high of 19 points in the blowout loss. In fact, he set a new career-high for scoring, surpassing his previous mark of 26 points, which he had reached twice. In fact, the Jazz are now the fourth team that Mykhailiuk has scored 25 points in a game for. He should continue to play a significant role in the season finale against the Timberwolves on Sunday, but he may not replicate his production from this game.
  • UTA Small Forward #99
KJ Martin (illness) has been ruled out against the Trail Blazers on Wednesday.
This will be a third-straight absence for Martin, which means that Micah Potter and Svi Mykhailiuk will both be in line for extra minutes. Unfortunately, neither has been able to provide much fantasy production and both played less than 20 minutes on Sunday.
  • UTA Small Forward #99
KJ Martin (illness) is out for Friday’s matchup with the Pacers.
Martin has averaged just over 21 minutes per game across his last six, so his absence will free up some rotational minutes for the likes of Brice Sensabaugh and Kyle Filipowski. With Walker Kessler (concussion) sidelined, Martin likely would have started if he was available. That opportunity will now likely fall to either Johnny Juzang or Svi Mykhailiuk.
  • UTA Power Forward #22
The Jazz are starting Isaiah Collier, Collin Sexton, Cody Williams, Kyle Filipowski, and Walker Kessler against the Cavaliers on Sunday.
Filipowski has been coming off the bench but has bumped Svi Mykahiliuk out of the starting lineup ahead of Sunday’s game. The versatile forward’s fantasy ceiling has been raised, but depending on Lauri Markkanen’s availability this could just be a short-term boost.
  • UTA Small Forward #99
KJ Martin (elbow) and Jaden Springer are active for Sunday’s game against the Cavaliers.
Martin is a legitimate member of Utah’s rotation and has a chance to bump Svi Mykhailiuk from the starting lineup. Springer could have a tough time playing minutes because of the Jazz’s wealth of young guards.
  • UTA Small Forward #99
KJ Martin (elbow) and Jaden Springer (back) are questionable for Sunday’s game against the Cavaliers.
Martin has missed Utah’s last four games, while Springer has been inactive for four straight and nine of Utah’s last ten. Their absences have resulted in more playing time for players such as Johnny Juzang and Svi Mykhailiuk, but neither has been consistent enough to merit rostering, even in deep leagues.
  • UTA Shooting Guard #19
Svi Mykhailiuk (foot) is available for Friday’s matchup with the Celtics, and Jaden Springer (back) is out.
Springer will miss his ninth game across Utah’s last 10, so his absence isn’t too meaningful in the world of fantasy hoops. Mykhailiuk will return from a two-game absence and presumably handle his typical workload.
  • UTA Shooting Guard #11
Svi Mykhailiuk (foot) and Jaden Springer (back) are questionable to play against the Celtics on Friday.
Both players have been sidelined frequently lately, which has opened up extra minutes for Cody Williams, Brice Sensabaugh and Johnny Juzang. The potential return of Mykhailiuk and Springer won’t dramatically change the minutes of the aforementioned three players, but the competitiveness of the game will be a factor in how the rotation shakes out.
  • UTA Shooting Guard #19
Svi Mykhailiuk (foot) and Jaden Springer (back) are out for Wednesday’s game against the Wizards.
Wednesday’s game will be the second straight Mykhailiuk has missed, while Springer has been sidelined for three straight and eight of Utah’s last nine. Neither player significantly impacts fantasy basketball, but there should be more minutes available to Cody Williams.
  • UTA Shooting Guard #19
Svi Mykhailiuk (foot) is out for Monday’s game against the Bulls.
Initially questionable for Monday’s game, Mykhailiuk will not play. While his absence cuts into Utah’s perimeter depth, it does not significantly impact fantasy basketball. There’s no need to hold onto Mykhailiuk in fantasy leagues.
