One positive of Jackson’s injury has been seeing Reggie Miller become a force again. Miller’s averaging 17.7 points while knocking down threes, shooting lights-out from the stripe, making some steals and keeping his turnovers to a minimum.

Chicago is expected to have some interest, although they may not be willing to pay the price Jackson figures to command.

Terry claimed to forget about turning his clock forward one hour for daylight savings time. Jackson said he simply overslept. Both will rejoin the starting lineup tomorrow.

Jackson remains day-to-day. Aside from his 23 3-pointers, he hasn’t provided much value this season.

Jackson will probably be looking for at least $4 million per season in his next contract. “I’m free after this year,” Jackson said. “I’m totally free. I don’t know if I’m going to be here next year or not. I know I’ll have a job somewhere next year. No matter what, I’m going to be happy.”

Jackson is seeking a long-term contract in excess of $4 million a year. The Nuggets will consider Steve Smith, Voshon Lenard and Jon Barry if Jackson’s demands are too much.

''He’s exploring his options,’' agent Dan Fegan said. ''There is an obvious need for a shooting guard in Denver. I’ve had some conversations with Denver.’'

Jackson averaged 11.8 points and 3.6 rebounds in 28.2 minutes last season for the Spurs. He’s also scheduled for visits with the Jazz and Hawks.
