Shaedon Sharpe (core muscle surgery) continues progressing in his recovery but will not play again this season.
Sharpe, who has not appeared in a game since January 11, will sit out Portland’s final four games of the season as he continues to recover from core muscle surgery. The second-year wing is making positive strides in his recovery, and Sharpe is expected to be at full strength well ahead of the 2024-25 season. Limited to 32 games, he was ranked outside the top 175 in 9-cat formats, well below his Yahoo ADP (119). Provided he’s healthy, Sharpe will be worth selecting with a late-round pick in standard leagues this fall.

The Trail Blazers have assigned Shaedon Sharpe (core muscle surgery) to their G League affiliate for conditioning reasons.
Two days after Blazers coach Chauncey Billups said Sharpe was ramping up his physical activity, the second-year wing has been sent to the G League. He’ll work on his conditioning with the Rip City Remix, and a return to game action may not be too far away. Whether or not Sharpe can impact fantasy basketball depends on when he’s cleared for game action and what kind of restrictions he’ll be under.

Blazers coach Chauncey Billups said on Friday that Shaedon SHarpe (core muscle surgery) has been ramping up his workouts recently.
Sharpe has been sidelined since mid-January, undergoing surgery in early February after an initial ramping-up process did not yield positive results. A potential return before the end of the season would be a positive development for Sharpe and the Blazers, but fantasy managers should not expect too much. There isn’t much time remaining for him to impact fantasy basketball, but deep-league managers still have the option of stashing Sharpe in an IL+ slot.

Shaedon Sharpe will “undergo corrective surgery to address a core muscle injury”, according to an announcement from the team.
Sharpe had begun the ramp-up process to make a return to the court, but he reportedly experienced a “worsening of his symptoms”. He will undergo surgery this week, and they will provide a timeline after that. Hopefully he will be able to return this season, but Matisse Thybullee should continue to start until that happens, barring a move at the deadline that shakes up their rotation.

Shaedon Sharpe (lower abdominal strain) is progressing in his recovery and will begin to ramp up light on-court activities.
Sharpe has been out since mid-January and remains without a timeline for return. However, the update provided by the Blazers is a step in the right direction. There hasn’t been a worthwhile fantasy pickup in Sharpe’s absence, as Matisse Thybulle has underwhelmed, and neither Kris Murray nor Rayan Rupert have earned consistent rotation minutes.

Shaedon Sharpe (lower abdominal strain) will be re-evaluated in two weeks.
Sharpe will be re-evaluated at the end of the month, but there is a chance that he remains sidelined after that. However, Kris Murray and Rayan Rupert have been able to take on a larger role, with Murray posting a 13/1/3/3 line with three 3-pointers in 37 minutes in their last game.

Shaedon Sharpe (adductor soreness) has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Suns.
Sharpe will miss a second straight game due to the adductor injury suffered during Thursday’s loss to the Thunder. Malcolm Brogdon, who should already be rostered in most leagues, and Matisse Thybulle will absorb the minutes that would have gone to Sharpe.

Deandre Ayton (right knee tendinitis) and Shaedon Sharpe (adductor soreness) have been ruled out for Friday’s game against the Timberwolves.
Ayton will sit for a tenth straight game, which keeps Duop Reath in the starting lineup. As for Sharpe, Malcolm Brogdon should take on his role coming off the bench. Brogdon is back after sitting out Thursday’s loss to the Thunder.

Shaedon Sharpe (right adductor strain) will remain sidelined for Friday’s game against Minnesota.
Sharpe exited early on Thursday after struggling through 21 minutes of a blowout loss. That will keep him sidelined on the second night of a back-to-back. Kris Murray ended up logging 23 minutes off the bench, though he may not play that large of a role on Friday if this game isn’t a blowout. Matisse Thybulle should help make up for Sharpe’s absence.

Shaedon Sharpe (right adductor strain) has been ruled out for the remainder of Thursday’s game against the Thunder.
Sharpe endured a rough 21 minutes before being ruled out, shooting 3-of-14 from the field and finishing with seven points, six rebounds, one assist, and one 3-pointer. He missed five games in late December with a sore adductor, so the strain is not a good development. Rookie Kris Murray could be in for rotation minutes if Sharpe misses time, but he offers limited streaming value as a reserve.
