ESPN’s Shams Charania reports that Saddiq Bey has been traded to the Pelicans along with Jordan Poole and the No. 40 pick for CJ McCollum, Kelly Olynyk and a future second-round pick.
Bey missed all of last season with a torn ACL, but the 26-year-old forward is expected to be fully ready for the 2025-26 campaign. In four years with the Pistons and Hawks, he sports career averages of 13.9 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.2 triples. He can be an impactful option in New Orleans as a floor-spacer. Keep an eye on how the Pels’ rotation shapes up, as Bey might be worth a look in the later rounds of fantasy drafts.

Updating a prior blurb, Saddiq Bey (knee) is out for Sunday’s game against the Heat.
The Wizards mistakenly listed Bey as available for the regular-season finale on the initial injury report. He will not play against the Heat, meaning Wizards fans will have to wait until the fall to see Bey debut for the team.

Saddiq Bey (knee) is available for Sunday’s game against the Heat.
After suffering a torn ACL late last season, Bey has not appeared in a game during his first season with the Wizards. That will likely change on Sunday, as he’s available after a rehabilitation stint in the G League. Fantasy managers in active leagues should not expect much from Bey, as his playing time will likely be restricted.

Wizards assigned F Saddiq Bey to the Capital City Go Go of the G League.
Bey tore his ACL over a year ago and hasn’t played an NBA game since March 10, 2024. The G League assignment means he’s likely nearing a return, but it’s unclear if he’ll see any game action with the parent club this season. If Bey sees the court before the end of the 2024-25 campaign, he will surely be on a minutes restriction and not worth a look in fantasy basketball leagues.

Saddiq Bey has agreed to a three-year, $20 million deal with the Wizards, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Atlanta didn’t make Bey a restricted free agent, which means that they won’t have a chance to match this offer. Bey will likely miss a lot of time to start next season, but he should be a solid depth forward once he’s back in the rotation. However, it’s difficult to imagine him providing much fantasy value without being in a starting role.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Hawks will not issue a qualifying offer to Saddiq Bey, making him an unrestricted free agent.
Bey’s qualifying offer was worth $8 million, so the Hawks declining it is unsurprising given the current circumstances. Bey suffered a torn ACL in March and is facing a lengthy rehabilitation period. He’ll be an unrestricted free agent on June 30, and while a return to Atlanta is not off the table, the chances have decreased. Atlanta selected Zaccharie Risacher with the first overall pick and acquired Dyson Daniels in the trade that sent Dejounte Murray to New Orleans.

Saddiq Bey will miss the rest of the season with a torn left ACL, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
With Jalen Johnson banged up and Onyeka Okongwu sidelined, De’Andre Hunter figures to see a big uptick in playing time and production moving forward. Vit Krejci could be in line for additional playing time, but he’s done little in two recent starts. Garrison Mathews and Wesley Matthews could also absorb some of Bey’s minutes, but neither of them are appealing streamers, and they can remain on the waiver wire.

Saddiq Bey (left knee hyperextension) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday’s game against the Pelicans.
Bey injured his knee when he landed awkwardly during the third quarter on a shot attempt. While he did take the ensuing free throws, he needed to be helped back to the bench. With De’Andre Hunter still on a minutes restriction and Jalen Johnson (ankle) already sidelined, the Hawks are limited at the forward positions. If Bey misses time, Garrison Mathews and Wesley Matthews are in for more playing time.

Saddiq Bey led Atlanta with 23 points (8-of-14 FGs), three rebounds, two assists and two 3-pointers against the Nets on Saturday.
Bey rebounded well in this game after being held to just six points in Thursday’s loss to the Nets. He hasn’t shot the ball well recently, but he hit over half of his shot attempts in this game for the first time since February 10th. Bey’s low shooting percentage and lack of defensive production limits his impact in category formats, but he has been a decent source of points, rebounds and 3-pointers this season. His numbers haven’t been dramatically impacted by Trae Young’s injury, and he should continue to deliver top-125 value for the remainder of the season.

Saddiq Bey accumulated 18 points (4-of-11 FGs, 8-of-8 FTs), 11 rebounds, one assist, one steal, and two 3-pointers in Friday’s 127-121 win over Philadelphia, playing 34 minutes.
After scoring two points on 1-of-7 shooting in a February 2 win over Phoenix, Bey’s put up at least 18 in three straight games. Give him credit for the excellent timing, as De’Andre Hunter returned from injury on January 30 against the Lakers. Hunter, who finished Friday’s win with 11 points, two rebounds, one assist, one steal, and three 3-pointers in 24 minutes, is still restricted minutes-wise. The workload has increased recently, but Bey still plays 30-plus minutes per night. We’ll see if that remains the case when Clint Capela is cleared to return from his adductor injury.
