ESPN’s Shams Charania reports the Bucks signed Ryan Rollins to a three-year, $12 million contract.
After earning a rest-of-season contract with the Bucks last season, Rollins has re-signed with the team on a three-year deal. The final season of the contract is a player option, which is a win for the former second-round pick. In 56 games, Rollins averaged 6.2 points, 1.9 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 0.9 three-pointers in 14.6 minutes. He made 19 starts for the Bucks last season, and there’s a chance Rollins gets a shot at competing for a starting job this fall. Milwaukee waived Damian Lillard, and while Kevin Porter Jr. re-signed with the team, he may not be a lock to start. Rollins may not be a must-draft player in most fantasy leagues, but that could change with a good preseason.

NBA reporter Chris B. Haynes reports that Damian Lillard has been diagnosed with a torn Achilles.
Brutal. Lillard’s 2024-25 season is officially over, and there’s a chance he misses all of next season due to the timing of the injury. His contract runs through the 2025-26 season and includes a player option for 2026-27 for $58 million. It’s unclear what Lillard’s extended absence will mean for fantasy owners in 2025-26, as the Bucks will likely address PG depth in the offseason. Ryan Rollins started 19 games for the Bucks in 2024-25 and would be the in-house option. As a starter, Rollins averaged 10.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game.

ESPN’s Shams Charania reports Damian Lillard (deep vein thrombosis) could return by Game 3 against the Pacers.
Lillard last appeared in a game on March 18, as a deep vein thrombosis in his calf placed the Bucks guard on the sideline. Lillard has participated in recent practices, which have included some 3-on-3 action, after being medically cleared earlier this week. Conditioning is the major concern at this stage, as he was unable to do anything during the early stages of the DVT. Game 2 of the series is on Tuesday, with the Bucks hosting Game 3 on Friday. Ryan Rollins has been Lillard’s replacement in the starting lineup, with Giannis Antetokounmpo serving as the “point guard.”

ESPN’s Shams Charania reports Damian Lillard has been cleared of his deep vein thrombosis and is no longer on blood-thinning medication.
Charania also reported that this is an incredibly quick recovery for Lillard that was made possible by early treatment. It is an excellent development for both Dame and the Bucks. He has been ruled out for Game 1 against the Pacers on Saturday, and they will give him time to ramp up before he returns to the lineup. It’s unclear what that timeline looks like, but Lillard is certainly on pace to return sooner rather than later. Ryan Rollins should continue to start in place of Dame until he returns.
  • MIL Small Forward #12
Taurean Prince (knee) and Ryan Rollins (shoulder) are out for Sunday’s game against the Pistons.
Prince and Rollins are among the Bucks’ rotation players nursing injuries, so they will not play in Sunday’s regular-season finale. Milwaukee secured the fifth seed in the East with its win over Detroit on Friday. Andre Jackson Jr. and Pat Connaughton have not impacted fantasy basketball this season, but they’re among the Bucks who will be available on Sunday and should log significant minutes.
  • MIL Power Forward #18
Kyle Kuzma (ankle) and Ryan Rollins (shoulder) are probable to play against the Pistons on Sunday.
Kuz and Rollins are the only typical starters that are expected to be available for Milwaukee against Detroit. It’s unclear how much they will play, but they should continue to start to close out the regular season. Kuzma may have to spend time at center with both Brook Lopez and Bobby Portis sidelined.

Ryan Rollins, Taurean Prince, Kyle Kuzma, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Brook Lopez against the Timberwolves on Tuesday.
Rollins only starts when Giannis plays. Antetokounmpo is back after missing Sunday’s game, which means Rollins will be back in the starting lineup. That will push Kevin Porter Jr. and Gary Trent Jr. to the bench, though both will still play large roles.
  • MIL Power Forward #34
Giannis Antetokounmpo (shoulder) is probable for Tuesday’s game against the Timberwolves.
Giannis did not play in Sunday’s win over the Pelicans, prompting two changes to the Bucks’ starting lineup. Ryan Rollins was moved to the bench, with Gary Trent Jr. and Kevin Porter Jr. getting the start. If Giannis returns on Tuesday, Rollins should be back in the starting lineup, with Trent and Porter leading the bench unit.
  • MIL Power Forward #34
Giannis Antetokounmpo (shoulder) is out for Sunday’s game against the Thunder.
Antetokounmpo is unavailable for Sunday’s game after putting forth an outstanding effort in Saturday’s win over the Heat. Gary Trent Jr. and Kevin Porter Jr. are the players who benefit the most fantasy-wise, as they were both starters the last time Giannis missed a game. If Doc Rivers sticks with that approach, Ryan Rollins will lose value because he moves to the bench.
  • MIL Power Forward #34
Giannis Antetokounmpo (shoulder) is now doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Pelicans.
Initially questionable for Sunday’s game, Giannis has been downgraded to doubtful. If he’s unable to play, Gary Trent Jr. and Kevin Porter Jr. will have added importance. The last time Milwaukee played without Antetokounmpo, Trent and Porter moved into the starting lineup, with Ryan Rollins moving to the bench.
