Ronny Turiaf canceled a press conference today.
He was going to speak about his return to basketball, but wasn’t feeling well. After the major heart surgery he recently had, this is understandable.
  • PHI Center #32
Ronny Turiaf is nearly recovered after fracturing the fourth metacarpal of his left hand his hand in a game against Great Britain at the London Invitational Tournament back in August.
“I’m out for another week or so and am just waiting to see if the fracture is fully healed or not and then I should be good to go,” Turiaf said in a column posted on NBA.com on Sep. 16. He should be good to go for the start of the NBA season, which remains a mystery date.
  • PHI Center #32
Ronny Turiaf (hand) did not practice on Thursday.
Turiaf is working to return from a broken hand and has been out since January 1. He’s getting closer to a return but he’s still not quite there yet.
  • NBA Power Forward #21
Nuggets GM Masai Ujiri said Thursday that Wilson Chandler could be signed within the next two days.
Chandler averaged 12.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.2 3-pointers and 1.1 blocks in 21 games for the Nuggets last season, and while he struggled a bit during that time those will be the ballpark numbers that owners want to use in their assessments. Ronny Turiaf will be waived to make room for Chandler, who appears to be on the verge of coming to terms with the Nuggets.
  • PHI Center #32
Recently acquired Ronny Turiaf will be waived to make room for Wilson Chandler according to multiple reports released on Thursday.
As long as Turiaf’s hand is in good shape then he has a pretty good chance of picking up somewhere else. Boston and Miami are two locations that come to mind off the top of our heads.
  • PHI Center #32
The Nuggets acquired Ronny Turiaf (hand, day-to-day) as part of a three-team trade Thursday.
Turiaf is just filler to make the contracts work. He hasn’t played since Jan. 1 and won’t threaten the likes of Kenneth Faried or even Kosta Koufos in Denver.
  • PHI Center #32
The Celtics and Heat are in the lead to sign Ronny Turiaf, according to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst.
Both teams desperately need to add a big man, and Turiaf is expected to make his decision by Wednesday. He’s highly unlikely to accrue any fantasy value with either team, but he’d have a larger role in Boston where the Celtics have lost Jermaine O’Neal (wrist) and Chris Wilcox (heart) for the season.
  • PHI Center #32
Ronny Turiaf is out again on Thursday with his hamstring injury.
Turiaf hasn’t been much help to the Heat since he’s constantly injured.
  • TOR Power Forward #1
Erik Spoelstra confirmed that the Heat expect to have all of their players in uniform for Game 1 vs. the Knicks on Saturday.
Spo will keep a close eye on Chris Bosh and Ronny Turiaf, both of whom are returning from hamstring injuries. Otherwise, it’s all systems go for the championship-or-bust Heat.
  • PHI Center #32
Ronny Turiaf is out of the country due to problems with his U.S. work visa, and he’s not expected to rejoin the Wizards for a few days.
Turiaf has been out since Jan. 1 with a broken left hand. He recently visited a hand specialist in New York, and fantasy owners should simply ignore him until he’s back on the court.
