Ben Gordon (groin) is listed as questionable for Friday’s game against the Bulls.
With Rodney Stuckey sustaining a hamstring injury Wednesday night, a healthy Gordon would be an intriguing spot-start option. In 18 starts this season, he’s averaged 16.1 points and 1.8 3-pointers. However, both Gordon and Stuckey could end up as true game-time calls, making it a hairy situation for fantasy owners.
  • DET Shooting Guard #2
Rodney Stuckey left Wednesday’s game in the first quarter with a sore left hamstring and will not return.
Will Bynum replaced him in the lineup, and fantasy owners have to hope this isn’t as bad as it sounds. We’ll call him day-to-day for now, but with Stuckey’s injury and Ben Gordon’s groin injury, Bynum could have a big game tonight.
  • NBA Point Guard #20
Brandon Knight had 16 points, four rebounds, five assists and two 3-pointers in 38 minutes on Wednesday.
He’s a hit or miss player, but with Rodney Stuckey (hamstring) and Ben Gordon (groin) injured, he’s quickly becoming a must-start player.
  • CLE Shooting Guard #15
Austin Daye came off the bench for eight points, two rebounds, two assists, two steals, two blocks and a 3-pointer in 29 minutes Wednesday.
He started the second half after Rodney Stuckey left with a hamstring injury, and could be in line for more minutes going forward. Will Bynum also came alive with eight points, three rebounds and a steal on 3-of-9 shooting. Both players are worth a look if Stuckey is going to miss much time, but it’s tough to tell which player might benefit most. Since Daye was the second-half starter, we’re going to give the nod to him.

Rodney Stuckey’s (hamstring) status for Friday’s game against the Bulls is uncertain.
Stuckey suffered a hamstring injury on Wednesday night and did not return to the game after leaving in the first quarter. With Ben Gordon also nursing a sore groin, Will Bynum and Austin Daye stand to see increased minutes if neither Stuckey nor Gordon can play.
  • DET Shooting Guard #2
Rodney Stuckey (hamstring) and Ben Gordon (groin) are both highly questionable for Friday’s game against the Bulls.
Keith Langlois of Pistons.com says that “it seems nearly certain” that both Stuckey and Gordon will sit out Friday. We’ll know more after the morning shootaround, but owners should be making other plans. Austin Daye started the second half of Wednesday night’s game and has a roto-friendly style for deep-league vultures.
  • CHI Shooting Guard #7
Ben Gordon will return to the Pistons’ bench once Rodney Stuckey is able to play his usual number of minutes.
BG has averaged 21.2 points in his past five starts for Detroit, but he’s a weaker defender than Stuckey. Head coach Lawrence Frank suggested that playing time will be doled out based on performance night-to-night, but that first requires that they’re both healthy (Stuckey is battling a toe injury but expects to play Sunday).
  • DET Shooting Guard #2
Rodney Stuckey (hamstring) confirmed he felt good after Thursday’s win against the Wizards despite playing just 19 minutes.
“Feeling good, feeling good,” he said. “I’ll just come off the bench and pretty much see how it feels. But I feel fine.” Lawrence Frank said Stuckey would be monitored as a precaution, but it sounds as if Stuckey’s minutes should increase going forward. He’s averaging 33 minutes per game since the All-Star break.

Rodney Stuckey left Friday night’s game late in the fourth quarter after apparently aggravating his hamstring injury, although he returned moments later
According to beat writer Vincent Goodwill, the injury appeared to be just a “tweak”, but nonetheless it is still concerning news given the fact that Stuckey had recently been dealing with a hamstring issue. He’s back in now, but it will still be something for fantasy owners to keep an eye on.
  • DET Shooting Guard #2
Updating a previous item, the injury that caused Rodney Stuckey to leave the game briefly late in the fourth quarter on Friday was an aggravation to his injured left big toe, not his hamstring.
Stuckey dealt with the toe injury earlier this season, but most recently had been dealing with a hamstring injury. Either way, he said that he plans on playing Sunday when the Pistons take on the Heat. Make sure to check back here in case his status changes before then.
