Jalen Hood-Schifino (illness) is out for Wednesday’s game against the Wizards.
Hood-Schifino’s absence will not impact fantasy basketball, as Quentin Grimes is available after sitting out Monday’s loss to the Pelicans. Chuma Okeke will likely play fewer minutes, eliminating what little streaming value he possessed.
  • PHI Shooting Guard #5
Quentin Grimes (rest) is off the injury report ahead of Wednesday’s matchup with the Wizards.
Grimes took Monday night off after posting a 26/5/6 line in Sunday’s loss to Atlanta, but he’s been putting the Sixers on his back for the last month. In that span, Grimes comfortably leads his team in scoring with 24.9 points per game to go with 4.5 assists, 4.5 boards, 3.2 triples and 1.9 steals. He’s been a top 40 fantasy option over the last 14 games, and there’s no reason to think his hot streak will end any time soon.
  • PHI Shooting Guard #5
Quentin Grimes (rest) and Andre Drummond (toe) are out for Monday’s game against the Pelicans.
Grimes has the most fantasy value of anyone on the 76ers with Tyrese Maxey and Paul George out, but he won’t help fantasy managers Monday as he’s getting the night off for rest. Drummond will miss another game with a toe injury that has bothered him off and on all season long. Adem Bona figures to see more minutes with Drummond out.
  • PHI Shooting Guard #5
Quentin Grimes accounted for 26 points (7-of-18 FGs, 9-of-11 FTs), five rebounds, six assists, one steal and three three-pointers in 35 minutes in Sunday’s loss to the Hawks.
Grimes is playing the best basketball of his NBA career, scoring 25 points or more in his last eight appearances. The 76ers guard has benefitted immensely from Tyrese Maxey and Paul George’s absences, possibly driving up his price ahead of restricted free agency in the summer. As long as Grimes is available, he’ll be an excellent fantasy asset down the stretch. Philadelphia plays four games during Week 21, starting with the Pelicans on Monday.
  • PHI Shooting Guard #5
Quentin Grimes recorded a double-double on Friday with 25 points (10-of-20 FGs), two rebounds, 10 assists, two steals, four three-pointers and five turnovers in a 128-120 loss to the Spurs.
A few weeks after setting a career-high for assists with nine, Grimes topped that mark and recorded the first point-assist double-double of his career. Grimes has been on a roll and has scored at least 25 points in seven consecutive games and in nine of his 11 appearances in the month of March. It’s unclear how this will translate into next season when the rest of the roster is healthy, but it has been a fantastic run for Grimes that will result in many championships for fantasy managers.
  • PHI Point Guard #0
Tyrese Maxey (back, finger) has been ruled out against the Spurs on Friday.
It has been over two weeks since Maxey last played, with Friday’s game being the 10th absence in a row. With Joel Embiid and Paul George done for the year, it wouldn’t be surprising if Maxey’s year was over as well, even if there isn’t an official announcement made. Quentin Grimes and Jared Butler will continue to dominate the backcourt minutes.
  • PHI Shooting Guard #5
Quentin Grimes had 28 points (10-of-21 FGs), two rebounds, five assists, three steals and three three-pointers against the Thunder on Wednesday.
Grimes stepped up with the 76ers severely shorthanded at this point in the season. The 24-year-old shooting guard’s 28 points were a game-high. Grimes has had at least 25 points in eight of 10 games in March so far. He should be rostered in all formats at this point as a bright spot on a team going nowhere.
  • PHI Point Guard #0
Tyrese Maxey (back, finger) and Lonnie Walker IV (concussion) are out for Wednesday’s game against the Thunder.
Maxey, who has not appeared in a game since March 3, will miss a ninth-straight contest on Wednesday. With Walker missing his fourth-straight due to the league’s concussion protocol, the 76ers will again rely on Quentin Grimes, Jared Butler and Jeff Dowtin Jr. on the perimeter. Grimes should be rostered in standard leagues, while Butler and Dowtin are worth a look in deeper formats.
  • PHI Shooting Guard #5
Quentin Grimes led the 76ers with 46 points (15-of-27 FGs, 8-of-13 FTs), 13 rebounds, four assists, two steals, one block, eight three-pointers and six turnovers in a 144-137 overtime loss to the Rockets on Monday.
The Houston native had quite the performance in his hometown. 32 of his points and six of his three-pointers came in the second half and overtime, but it wasn’t enough for him to lead the shorthanded 76ers to victory. This was a new career-high in points for Grimes, which he has now set twice since being traded to Philadelphia. He has scored at least 25 points in five straight games and in six of his last seven appearances. Though this has been a lost season for the team, Grimes has been a bright spot that should have fans encouraged heading into next season.
  • PHI Point Guard #0
Tyrese Maxey (back, finger) and Kelly Oubre Jr. (knee) are out for Monday’s matchup with the Rockets.
No surprises here for the tanking Sixers. Philly will be missing all of the starters they opened the season with, including role players like Lonnie Walker IV. Jared Butler, Ricky Council IV and Quentin Grimes will continue to pick up the slack with Maxey and Oubre Jr. sidelined.
