According to Suns reporter John Gambadoro, Devin Booker is progressing well from a hip strain and trending towards being back after Phoenix’s currenty four-day break.
The timeline means Booker will likely be back against the Kings on Tuesday or the Bulls on Thursday. With Dillon Brooks sidelined, Phoenix needs help on offense, and Booker’s return should help tremendously in that department. Booker’s return could mean fewer minutes for the likes of Collin Gillespie and Jamaree Bouyea.

Royce O’Neale amassed 13 points (4-of-7 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), six rebounds, three assists and three three-pointers in Thursday’s win over the Lakers.
O’Neale came up big when the Suns needed him most, scoring the team’s final seven points in Thursday’s 113-110 victory. His last basket came with nine-tenths of a second remaining, with the veteran wing knocking down a triple from the left wing. O’Neale has made multiple three-pointers in eight of his last nine appearances. While worth a look in deep leagues where there is a need for three-point production, O’Neale offers a limited fantasy ceiling.
  • PHX Guard #8
Grayson Allen accounted for 28 points (9-of-24 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), one rebound, six assists, one steal, one block and six three-pointers in Thursday’s win over the Lakers.
While Allen’s percentage wasn’t the best, he did what he had to offensively for a Suns team that is without its top two scorers. Allen knocked down six three-pointers, and his most important play may have been one in which he didn’t shoot the ball. The Suns guard was able to get downhill on the team’s final possession, putting the Lakers in rotation defensively. Allen’s pass to Collin Gillespie was followed by one from Gillespie to Royce O’Neale, who hit the game-winning three with nine-tenths of a second remaining. Allen should be rostered in 12-team leagues as long as Devin Booker and Dillon Brooks remain out.
  • PHX Guard #12
Collin Gillespie finished Thursday’s win over the Lakers with 21 points (7-of-13 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs), three rebounds, three assists, one block and six three-pointers.
While the Suns struggled offensively in losses to the Trail Blazers and Celtics, Gillespie was one of the few who did not. He entered Thursday having scored at least 15 points in three consecutive games, and he extended the run to four with another solid performance. Gillespie’s six three-pointers were the most in a game for him since February 3, when he knocked down eight against Portland. With Devin Booker and Dillon Brooks injured, Gillespie remains at a point where he should be rostered in most leagues.
  • PHX Guard #12
Collin Gillespie led the Suns with 15 points (6-of-11 FGs), three rebounds, three assists, one steal and three three-pointers in a 97-81 loss to the Celtics on Tuesday.
In what was an ugly game offensively for both teams, Phoenix ended up on the wrong end of the scoreboard. This would’ve been their lowest-scoring outing of the season had they not just been held to 77 points in Sunday’s loss. They held the opposition to less than 100 points in both games, but they haven’t had much offensive juice. However, Gillespie was solid in both games. With Devin Booker (hip) and Dillon Brooks (hand) sidelined, Gillespie will continue to be one of the focal points offensively.
  • PHX Guard #8
Grayson Allen (knee, ankle) is available for Tuesday’s game against the Celtics.
Allen is back after missing Sunday’s loss to the Trail Blazers. His return will give the Suns much-needed scoring, whether he comes off the bench or starts. If Allen were to start, Ryan Dunn is the player most likely headed to the bench.
  • PHX Guard #23
Suns reporter Mark McClune reports that Jordan Goodwin (calf) will be re-evaluated in 1-2 weeks.
Goodwin’s absence should mean plenty of playing time for Collin Gillespie, with Jamaree Bouyea logging additional minutes off the bench.
  • PHX Guard #23
Suns reporter Duane Rankin reports that Jordan Goodwin (calf) does not have a timetable to return.
Good suffered a left calf strain in Saturday’s win over the Magic, and he’ll join Dillon Brooks on the sideline for an extended period of time. Collin Gillespie could be in line for big minutes moving forward, and he needs to be rostered in standard fantasy leagues.
  • PHX Guard-Forward #3
ESPN’s Shams Charania reports that Dillon Brooks will miss 4-6 weeks due to a broken left hand.
Brooks is enjoying the best season of his career, and he’s been an integral part of Phoenix’s success. With Brooks sidelined, Collin Gillespie and Grayson Allen should see a bump in playing time, with Ryan Dunn also expected to see some additional run.
  • PHX Guard #12
Collin Gillespie had 18 points (7-of-13 FGs), three rebounds, three assists, one steal and four three-pointers in Sunday’s loss to the Trail Blazers.
Gillespie was a must-roster player even with 11 games on Sunday because the Suns were missing Devin Booker, Dillon Brooks, Jordan Goodwin and Grayson Allen. Jalen Green only played 22 minutes. Gillespie predictably led the team in minutes with 33 and points with 18. His six turnovers gave back some of his value, but Gillespie will continue to see increased opportunities until the Suns are back at full strength. Phoenix has only two games upcoming in Week 18, starting with a matchup against the Celtics on Tuesday.
