13hBradley Beal (hamstring) has been ruled out against the Timberwolves on Friday.

This will be a sixth-straight absence for Beal, and there is currently no end in sight. Collin Gillespie should continue to start in place of Beal, but he hasn’t been able to offer much fantasy production. However, rookie Ryan Dunn has shined recently and provided top-100 value in nine-cat formats over the past two weeks.

1dDevin Booker logged 34 minutes in Wednesday’s loss to the Celtics, tallying 14 points (4-of-13 FGs, 5-of-6 FTs), seven rebounds, 10 assists and one three-pointer.

Booker has hit double figures in assists in three straight and five of his last seven appearances. While he has only shot 43.9 percent from the field over the past two weeks, the improved assist production is why the Suns’ guard has offered top-50 value during this stretch. Of course, the Suns and fantasy managers want to see Booker shoot the ball better than he has. However, subpar shooting has not kept him from offering solid overall value. The Suns play two more games during Week 21, starting with the Timberwolves on Friday.

Kevin Durant

PHX Small Forward #35

1dKevin Durant shot 11-of-16 from the field and 5-of-5 from the foul line in Wednesday’s loss to the Celtics, scoring 30 points with one rebound, two assists and three three-pointers in 30 minutes.

Durant got his points on Wednesday and has scored 30 points or more in three straight games. However, he did not offer much else in the loss to the Celtics, which was terrible news for category league managers. The good news is that nights like Wednesday have not been the norm for the future Hall of Fame forward. Over the past two weeks, Durant has offered second-round value in eight- and nine-cat formats. With the Suns needing to go on a run to earn a play-in spot, they will lean on Durant and Devin Booker to lead the way.

2dBradley Beal (hamstring) is out for Wednesday’s game against the Celtics.

According to Suns head coach Mike Budenholzer, Beal is progressing in his recovery from a strained hamstring. However, he has not done any 5-on-5 work, so the Suns’ guard will not play on Wednesday. Collin Gillespie has filled the void in the starting lineup, but he’s been more valuable to Phoenix than to fantasy managers. Also, Ryan Dunn’s fantasy ceiling has been raised, making him worth a look in deep leagues.

3dNick Richards logged 29 minutes in Monday’s win over the Bucks, scoring 10 points (4-of-8 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), while adding 10 rebounds, one assist and one blocked shot.

Richards was back in the Suns’ lineup after sitting out Friday’s win over the Cavaliers with a calf injury. While he wasn’t spectacular against the Bucks, Nick did record his ninth double-double since joining the Suns via trade. His return pushes Oso Ighodaro to the bench, with the rookie tallying four points, two rebounds and one steal in 19 minutes. Mason Plumlee, who also was available after missing Friday’s game, picked up a DNP-CD. While Richards hasn’t been a great fantasy option, he’s done enough to merit being rostered in deep leagues.

3dDevin Booker finished Monday’s win over the Bucks with 19 points (7-of-18 FGs, 5-of-5 FTs), seven rebounds and 12 assists in 39 minutes.

Booker did not have a great night shooting, as he missed all five of his three-point attempts. However, he made the game’s biggest shot, nailing a step-back jumper with just under two seconds remaining to give Phoenix the victory. If there has been an issue for Booker recently, it has been the inconsistent nature of his scoring. He’s failed to crack 20 points in three of his last six outings, averaging 23.4 per game. That’s more than two points lower than Booker’s season average. While the hit hasn’t significantly damaged the Suns’ guard’s fantasy value, managers hope to see Booker get untracked during his final three games of Week 21.

Kevin Durant

3dKevin Durant accumulated 38 points (11-of-21 FGs, 9-of-10 FTs), eight rebounds, five assists, three blocks and seven three-pointers in 37 minutes in Monday’s win over the Bucks.

Durant has been on a tear recently, scoring 26 points or more in three straight games while shooting over 50 percent from the field in each. Seven three-pointers were included in his gaudy stat line on Monday, tying his season-high. Over the past week, Durant has provided top-5 value in eight- and nine-cat formats. And with the Suns playing three more games during Week 21 with no back-to-backs, this is an excellent time to have Durant rostered.

Richards and Plumlee are available for Monday’s game, with the former returning to the starting lineup. Oso Ighodaro will head to the bench, which eliminates what little streaming value he possessed. Who serves as Richards’ backup remains to be seen, with Oso offering a higher upside than Plumlee.

If available, Richards will return to the starting five, while Plumlee is not guaranteed the rotation minutes needed to impact fantasy basketball.
