Patrick Beverley plans to sign with Hapoel Tel Aviv BC in Israel next season.
Beverley announced his intentions through his podcast’s social media after spending the last 12 seasons in the NBA. He could return in the future, but he’s past his days of fantasy relevance. Milwaukee already signed Delon Wright to replace Beverley as the team’s backup point guard.

Delon Wright has agreed to a one-year, $3.3 million deal with the Bucks, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Wright ended last season with Miami, where he played 14 games after the All-Star break for them. He played a significant role for them in the playoffs due to the amount of injuries the team was dealing with, and now he will head north to join a different contender. Wright will likely fill out the backup point guard minutes behind Damian Lillard, which should mean the end of Patrick Beverley’s time with the Bucks.
  • MIL Point Guard #21
Patrick Beverley has been issued a four-game suspension ahead of the 2024-25 season.
The Bucks guard is being punished after throwing a ball at spectators multiple times during his team’s latest loss to the Pacers. He’s entering unrestricted free agency and will be forced to sit for the first four games of 2024-25.
  • MIL Small Forward #22
Khris Middleton (right ankle sprain) and Patrick Beverley (right oblique muscle strain) will play in Game 6 against the Pacers on Thursday.
Both players were listed as probable, so their availablility isn’t a surprise. They both played well in Game 5 and will have to shine again in Game 6 in order to extend the series.
  • MIL Point Guard #21
Patrick Beverley posted a full line on Tuesday with 13 points (4-of-7 FGs), four rebounds, 12 assists, two steals, one block and one triple against Indiana in Game 5.
Pat Bev is known for his defense, but he was able to step up on the offensive end in this one. He had 12 of his 13 points before halftime and switched things up after the break, dishing out 10 of his 12 assists in the third and fourth quarters. Beverley will do his best to keep this team afloat without Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo, but it is unlikely that he repeats this level of production. However, if Lillard isn’t back for Game 6, they may need him to.
  • MIL Small Forward #22
Khris Middleton (right ankle sprain) and Patrick Beverley (right oblique muscle strain) will play in Game 5 against the Pacers on Tuesday.
Both players were initially listed as probable and have officially been cleared to play. Beverley will continue to join Middleton in the starting unit, though he only played 21 minutes in their last game. Doc Rivers also leaned heavily on guys like Andre Jackson Jr., AJ Green and Pat Connaughton off the bench.
  • MIL Point Guard #21
Patrick Beverley (right oblique muscle strain) is listed as probable for the Bucks’ Tuesday game against the Pacers.
Beverley will likely continue starting at point guard with Damian Lillard listed as doubtful for Game 5. He’s struggled to match his Game 1 production against Indiana.
  • MIL Small Forward #22
Khris Middleton (right leg) amassed 15 points (6-of-14 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), five rebounds, six assists, and one 3-pointer in 36 minutes in Tuesday’s loss to the Pacers.
Middleton, who missed some time toward the end of the regular season due to left ankle injury management, appeared to tweak something in his right leg during the first quarter of Tuesday’s defeat. The good news for the Bucks is that said issue did not significantly impact his playing time, but Middleton’s health is of even greater importance with Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) sidelined. With Patrick Beverley (5/4/3/1/2 in 34 minutes) on the court for defensive reasons, Milwaukee essentially played 4-on-5 in Game 2, and that’s even more difficult to do with Giannis out. Middleton will have a few days to rest, as Game 3 is not until Friday night.
  • MIL Point Guard #0
Damian Lillard (left adductor soreness) is out for Friday’s matchup with the Thunder.
Lillard’s absence isn’t surprising considering he received a doubtful tag on Thursday. In his absence, Milwaukee will likely employ a platoon approach to fill his vacated minutes. Patrick Beverley, Pat Connaughton, Malik Beasley and Khris Middleton are all candidates for additional minutes. With Giannis Antetokounmpo also out of action, it’s all hands on deck for Milwaukee, as the team battles for playoff position.
  • MIL Shooting Guard #5
Malik Beasley shot 3-of-9 from the field in Wednesday’s 116-99 win over the Magic, accounting for eight points, five rebounds, and two 3-pointers in 24 minutes.
With Khris Middleton sitting for injury management reasons, Beasley returned to the starting lineup after coming off the bench on Tuesday. He didn’t offer much more than usual, hitting a few 3-pointers while doing a solid job on the boards. Patrick Beverley, who replaced Beasley in the starting lineup, was more productive against the Magic, finishing with 13 points, eight rebounds, six assists, one steal, and three 3-pointers in 30 minutes. Milwaukee has two games remaining on its schedule, and its magic number to lock down the 2-seed in the East is one.
