  • WAS Small Forward #7
Patrick Baldwin Jr. shot 7-of-12 from the field and 2-of-4 from the foul line in Friday’s 129-127 loss to the Bulls, tallying 19 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, one steal, one block, and three 3-pointers in 41 minutes.
Baldwin has reached double figures in three straight games, recording a double-double on two occasions. Also noteworthy about this run is that he’s shot 50% of better from the field in all three. Like many young players this time of year, Baldwin’s fantasy value depends on which veteran are (or aren’t) available. Unless there’s a sudden desire to get Kyle Kuzma back on the floor for Sunday’s season finale, Baldwin makes for an intriguing play in active fantasy leagues.
  • WAS Shooting Guard #1
Deni Avdija, Johnny Davis, Corey Kispert, Patrick Baldwin Jr., and Tristan Vukcevic will start Friday’s game against the Bulls.
Jordan Poole (out) and Anthony Gill are the Wizards who drop from the starting lineup, with Davis and Vukcevic being their replacements. For those competing in DFS tournaments, Avdija and Kispert are worthy of consideration, as the Wizards will lean heavily upon them for production.
  • WAS Power Forward #33
Kyle Kuzma (right ankle sprain) is out for Friday’s game against the Bulls.
Kuzma remains sidelined for another game, with either Johnny Davis or Patrick Baldwin Jr. replacing him in the starting lineup. Neither player has lit things up for the Wizards when allowed to start, so they won’t be worth streaming on a 15-game night.
  • WAS Small Forward #7
Patrick Baldwin Jr. got the start on Tuesday and contributed 15 points (6-of-11 FGs), six rebounds, four assists, two steals and three triples against Minnesota.
Washington played this game without Marvin Bagley, Richaun Holmes and Tristan Vukcevic, which resulted in PBJ and Anthony Gill holding down the minutes down low. Against Rudy Gobert, that wasn’t the ideal answer. Still, both Baldwin Jr. and Gill (15/9/3/0/3) were able to provide strong stat lines, even if it didn’t result in a win. PBJ and Gill should see big minutes over Washington’s final two games of the season, but they shouldn’t be on anybody’s draft board next year.
  • WAS Small Forward #7
Jordan Poole, Corey Kispert, Deni Avdija, Patrick Baldwin Jr., and Anthony Gill will start Tuesday’s game against the Timberwolves.
The Wizards have made two changes to their starting lineup for Tuesday’s game. Gill fills the void left by Tristan Vukcevic, who has been ruled out with a sore knee. The other change is Baldwin, who replaces Johnny Davis. Davis is healthy and will come off the bench.
  • WAS Power Forward #33
Kyle Kuzma (right ankle sprain) and Richaun Holmes (left big toe contusion) have been ruled out for Tuesday’s game against the Timberwolves.
Kuzma and Holmes were initially questionable for Tuesday’s game. Their absences will result in more minutes for Johnny Davis, Anthony Gill, Patrick Baldwin Jr., and Eugene Omoruyi, with Gill considered probable to play. Of the four, Gill has some potential as a deep-league streamer, but none are essential on a 14-game night.
  • WAS Power Forward #16
Anthony Gill (right knee soreness) has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Raptors.
Gill joins the lengthy list of sidelined Wizards, meaning more playing time for Eugene Omoruyi and Patrick Baldwin Jr. However, neither is worth streaming on a day with 13 games on the schedule.
  • WAS Power Forward #33
Kyle Kuzma (right ankle sprain) has been downgraded to out for Sunday’s matchup with Toronto.
Kuzma will sit out for a second straight game and for the fourth time in their last five. Johnny Davis started in their last game, but if he remains in the starting unit, he still won’t be worth streaming. Anthony Gill is questionable, but he logged 31 minutes in their last game. If he doesn’t play, Eugene Omoruyi and Patrick Baldwin Jr. should see extra minutes off the bench.
  • WAS Power Forward #16
Anthony Gill (right knee soreness) is questionable to play against the Raptors on Sunday.
Gill is a late addition to the injury report, and with Kyle Kuzma sidelined, Gill will play a ton of minutes if he is available. He logged 31 minutes in their last game without Kuzma, but if he joins Kuz on the sidelines, Patrick Baldwin Jr. and Eugene Omoruyi should step into a larger role.
  • WAS Power Forward #33
Kyle Kuzma (right ankle sprain) has been ruled out for Friday’s game against the Trail Blazers.
Kuzma played in their last game, but he will find himself back on the sidelines for their game on Friday. Anthony Gill started in the last game that Kuzma sat out, though Patrick Baldwin Jr. should also be in line for extra minutes.
