The Heat selected Nikola Djurisic with the No. 43 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.
The Belgian-born Serbian forward appeared in 36 games for KK Mega Bemax of the Adriatic Basketball Association in 2023-24 and averaged 14.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.2 steals, 0.4 blocks, and 0.8 triples. He shot 44.4% from the floor, 76.3% from the charity stripe, and 30.5% from beyond the arc. According to Draft analyst Jonathan Givony, “Serbian wing Nikola Djurisic improved his standing at the NBA draft combine, showing versatile shot-making, passing creativity, and explosiveness, giving scouts a taste of his intriguing offensive versatility.” While selected by Miami, Djurisic is headed to Atlanta. This is a pick that the Hawks could decide to stash overseas, and there’s certainly a lot of optimism regarding his pro potential. Djurisic is a player who will have greater value in dynasty leagues than redrafts.
