NEW YORK -- Zach LaVine’s earliest dunks may have been his best in the 2015 Slam Dunk contest, but they ultimately propelled him to take home the title.
LaVine opened things up with this “Space Jam” dunk, a tribute to Michael Jordan he completed by wearing the one MJ wore in the iconic film all those years ago.
One reporter postgame suggested that Jordan in the movie didn’t even complete something as spectacular as this -- a catch off the bounce, a pass through the legs in midair, topped off by a one-handed reverse finish on the other side of the rim.
