The NFL is still the No Fun League. Even with the rules becoming more relaxed around celebrations in professional football, it is still seen as an organization-over-player league. That’s in contrast to the NBA, which sells faces over places.
Even still, some of the touchdown celebrations in the NFL this year have been pretty great. I especially liked the one that the Chicago Bears did against the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving day that was reminiscent of Gladys Knight and The Pips.
The Seattle Seahawks got into the fun on Sunday during their win over the Carolina Panthers by recreating one of the most iconic moments of the last two decades in the NBA. Namely, Allen Iverson’s step over of Ty Lue in Game 1 of the 2001 NBA Finals.
