LeBron James is a 74 percent free-throw shooter for his career. He’s made a lot of ‘em, I’d say. But this one? This one was an airball.
Against the Houston Rockets on Tuesday night, James came up just a little short during a trip to the line in the second quarter.
LeBron recognized this early and yelled out “short!” as the ball gently kissed the bottom of the net.
James is an all-time great, and it’s just weird to see him miss a free throw this badly. You can take a couple airballs when you’re the reigning champ. Nobody is going to be hounding him on that one, that’s for sure.
