The fact Michael Jordan could dunk in high school is about as shocking as Donald Trump’s hair being fake.
Still, the video dug up by MaxPreps of Jordan dunking back in his days as a star at Emsley A. Laney High School in Wilmington, N.C., is kind of cool. There’s Jordan on the leak out getting the pass and throwing it down on the breakaway with a style that looks familiar. Plus, you’ve got to love the old-school gym with the curtains on what was likely a stage back behind the basket.
That gym at Laney is now named after Jordan, and his Air Jordan brand paid to update it a few years back. Suffice to say the curtain is gone and now it is nicer than your high school gym.
