When it comes to the NBA, you’ve probably heard of the phrase elevator doors before. Not only is this action eight particularly cool one, but it is also recognizable because it is so accurately descriptive of what happens on the floor.
Put simply,Elevator doors is when two or more screeners stand side-by-side with enough space between them for one of their own teammates to run through (typically a shooter). Once the shooter runs through his teammates, the two or more screeners come together standing shoulder to shoulder, thus closing the “elevator doors”.
