It was a busy night for the Lakers on Wednesday. L.A. started things off by honoring their late owner Jerry Buss, then finished things by rolling to an easy win over the Celtics.
In between, Steve Nash made history.
With his fourth and fifth assists of the night, Nash tied and then passed Magic Johnson to move into fourth place on the all-time list of assists leaders.
Next up is Mark Jackson, who sits in third place 190 assists ahead of Nash.
If Nash achieves his average of 7.4 assists per game through the rest of the season, he’ll own sole possession of third before the year is finished.
