Stephen Curry took a scary fall in Game 4 of the Western Conference finals.
He cleared a couple concussion tests, and he’ll play Game 5.
But that doesn’t meant he’s fully in the clear.
Monte Poole of CSN of CSN Bay Area:“My whole right side took the brunt of that force, along with my head. It’s basically like a bruise all the way up and down your body.”
Based on his experience Wednesday morning, Curry likely will wear the sleeve Wednesday night.
“I shot pretty well with it just now,” he said. “So, hopefully, that will continue tonight. I don’t wear them ever, so it’s a little getting used to. But it’s nothing.”
In the long run, Curry and the Warriors should feel fortunate his injury wasn’t more serious.
But more immediately, Golden State plays the Rockets tonight, and a healthy Curry would go a long way. If he’s sore and/or a sleeve is bother him, that reduces the Warriors’ chances of winning.
It sounds as if he’ll be fine, but there’s still a little concern. I like Golden State tonight, just not quite as much as I would with a fully healthy Curry.
