In the latest trailer for the newest version of NBA2K, Shaquille O’Neal can be heard over and over again asking the question, “what if?”

The most interesting, of course, is the one where he wonders out loud what might have happened if he had managed to set egos aside and stay in Los Angeles to play alongside Kobe Bryant -- not because it’s more important to the Lakers fan base than that of the Pistons or the Knicks where the theoretical adding of superstar talent is concerned, but because O’Neal winning titles with Kobe was already rooted in reality, and likely would have had a pretty good chance of continuing for years to come.
