Michael Porter Jr.'s stock was rising – as high potentially getting drafted No. 2 by the Kings.

But he cancelled Friday’s workout, sparking questions. The answers aren’t encouraging.

Jonathan Givony of ESPN:

Former Missouri forward Michael Porter Jr. canceled his second pro day in Chicago on Friday because of a strained hip, sources told ESPN. Porter couldn’t get out of bed because of muscle spasms, according to the sources.

Porter missed most of his freshman season at Missouri due to a back injury. This seems related.

When healthy, Porter is a dangerous shot-maker with the length and fluidity to become a more well-rounded player. Versatile forwards like him are in demand.

There’s still time for teams to evaluate his health. But this latest setback sounds scary.
