Luke Ridnour’s contract had a busy summer.
It got traded from the Magic to the Grizzlies to the Hornets to the Thunder to the Raptors and then waived by Toronto.
How will the player behind the deal follow that up?
Marc J. Spears of Yahoo Sports:
Ridnour has decided that he will not play the 2015-16 NBA season, a source told Yahoo Sports.
This very well could be the end of Ridnour’s career. He’s 34 and hasn’t played well in a couple years. It rarely gets better for players at this stage.
Still, it’s not impossible Ridnour could rest up, get healthy and emerge as a backup point guard in 2016. Possible, just not likely.
At this point, it’s pretty clear his jumper doesn’t justify his awful defense and inability to handle contact.
