When Andre Iguodala – how did he beat everyone to the handle @andre? – posted that tweet, I figured he was showing his appreciation for the Kings’ huge contract offer.
Nope. Quite the opposite.
The Kings have pulled their offer for free agent Andre Iguodala & will no longer pursue him, I'm told. Story to come.

Maybe something sinister happened to turn the Kings off to Iguodala. I find that unlikely but possible.
Or maybe Sacramento set a deadline for Iguodala to accept the offer. This makes more sense. The Kings can’t wait forever on Iguodala, allowing other free agents – including the restricted Tyreke Evans, who seems on track to get a four-year, $44 million offer from the Pelicans – to get away if Iguodala doesn’t accept. They would have been, in effect, paying extra for a speedy response from Iguodala. But if this were the case, why not just gradually lower the offer to a player Sacramento clearly wanted a few hours ago.
This is just plain weird.
The Kings might be better off not paying so much money to such an old player, anyway. If they wanted Iguodala unconditionally, they wouldn’t have pulled the offer.
One last word from Iguodala:
Really?? Ok... MOTIVATION!!!!!!
