NBA: Draymond Green won’t be assessed additional penalty for Steven Adams takedown

Draymond Green and Steven Adams received double personal fouls for Green’s takedown of Adams in Game 7 of the Western Conference finals.

But, as we know, that call isn’t final until the NBA reviews plays after the game.

Thankfully for the Warriors, Green – one flagrant foul or two technical fouls from suspension – avoids additional punishment this time. The double personal stands, according to NBA spokesman Tim Frank.

Green yanking Adams’ arm could’ve caused more damage if Adams didn’t go to the floor with him, but Adams did go to the floor with him. There’s a fine line in punishing recklessness that doesn’t hurt anyone and waiting until it does. Green keeps asking for trouble. But at least he’ll be on the floor to begin the NBA Finals against the Cavaliers.

The question now: If Green doesn’t become more careful – and he says he won’t – how long can he avoid a flagrant or two technicals and the subsequent suspension?
