Jimmer Fredette never gives up.
With his Knicks trailing the Trail Blazers by 21 in the final seconds, the former BYU star tried to spark a comeback with one of his trademark 3-pointers.
But Fredette’s will-do attitude was matched only by the never-quit grittiness of Meyers Leonard, who attempted to block Fredette’s shot.
Jimmer’s craftiness drew a foul, and he made two free throws to cut the final score to 104-85. You have to applaud him for having the toughness to play to the final whistle and trimming New York’s deficit. You could even call it a moral victory for the Knicks.
Afterward, Leonard showed his leadership by addressing the situation:
Hey @jimmerfredette my bad. I can raise my hand as a man and admit when I'm wrong. Heard nothing but good things about you. Bad play by me

Not to be out done, Fredette showed his sportsmanship:
No worries at all bro! Appreciate that but it's all in the moment. Good luck the rest of the year. https://t.co/1uQEup4sbB
