On Thursday, Wizards center Marcin Gortat was fined $5,000 for his second violation this season of the NBA’s anti-flopping policy. You can watch the video here, and it’s pretty obvious: after a missed Bradley Beal jumper, Gortat lunges out of bounds as if he got hit, when there was no contact at all between him and Jazz defender Rodney Hood.
Gortat put things in perspective with a tweet on Thursday afternoon after the league announced his fine:5k!!!??? Damnnnn.... 😩😩 got that win!!! Thats all I care about!!
