On Friday night, Taylor Swift performed the fifth show of her nine-night residency at Staples Center, the home of the Lakers and Clippers. It was her 16th sold-out show at the arena of her career, the most of any artist, which is an impressive accomplishment for a 25-year-old.
During Swift’s performance of the 1989 hit “Style,” Kobe Bryant joined her onstage:
Unbeknownst to her, Kobe had a surprise to mark the Staples Center sellout milestone: a banner to hang with the Lakers’ 16.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t a performance of “K.O.B.E.” Swift would have been more than capable of handling Tyra Banks’ hook. But it was a cool moment nonetheless.
My pleasure @taylorswift13 Keep breaking records and changing lives #1989TourLA https://t.co/MNCvXOpXPk
