Kobe Bryant injured his right shoulder in the Lakers’ 96-80 Wednesday loss to the New Orleans Pelicans, and it looks like the injury is more serious than the team hoped.
Bryant could be out a while. A timetable won’t be determined until he meets with the Lakers’ team doctors on Friday, but just as a point of reference, Spurs guard Patty Mills had surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff in July and didn’t make his return until December 28, missing the first 31 games of the season. And Mills is 26. Bryant is 36. It’s safe to assume he’s done for the season.
