Warriors guard Klay Thompson has one athletic family.

His dad, Mychal Thompson, won a couple championships with the Lakers during his 12-year career. His brother, Mychel, played a few games for the Cavaliers a few years ago.

And his other brother – the apparent outcast of the family – plays baseball instead of basketball.

At least Trayce Thompson gives the brothers the rare distinction of reaching both the NBA and MLB.

That’s because Trayce was just called up to the White Sox. The scouting report, per Aaron Gleeman of HardballTalk:

He’s never been able to post strong batting averages, which holds Thompson back as an overall player, but he has 20-homer power and 20-steal speed along with the ability to play all three outfield spots defensively.

The only brothers I could find who played in the NBA and MLB were Henry Bibby (father of Mike Bibby who played for the 76ers, Knicks, Jazz and Clippers) and Jim Bibby (Pirates, Rangers, Indians and Cardinals).

The Thompsons should join the club soon. It’s only a matter of time until Trayce cracks the lineup.
