The Sacramento Kings have been one of the worst franchises in the league in terms of wins and losses, essentially since their inception. But there was a stretch where the team played an entertaining style of basketball that resulted in eight straight postseason appearances, and Peja Stojakovic was a big part of that before being traded in 2006.
Sacramento retired Peja’s jersey on Tuesday, which was a well-deserved honor considering all he meant to those Kings teams.

Stojakovic was a three-time All-Star while playing for Sacramento, and had his best statistical season in 2004 when he averaged 24.2 points and 6.3 rebounds while playing 40.3 minutes per contest.
