Kevin Durant has been sidelined sine Dec. 18 with an ankle injury, but as expected, he will return to the Thunder lineup in time for Wednesday night’s home contest against the Phoenix Suns.
Scott Brooks made what had been reported Tuesday official at the morning shootaround.
OKC went 3-3 during the six-game stretch that Durant has recently missed.

The Thunder currently sit two games under .500 in the standings, but despite how dominant the top of the Western Conference class has been to this point of the season, slower than expected starts by the Spurs and the Suns (in seventh and eighth respectively) have the team still within a reasonable striking distance of obtaining one of those final postseason spots.
