It looked concerning when it happened, and more concerning when Morant had his right arm in a sling when the Grizzlies took on the Thunder on Sunday, but now it is official:
Ja Morant has a sprained shoulder and is officially week-to-week.

The usual time missed for this kind of sprain is a little less than two weeks and four to five games, reports Jeff Stotts of In Street Clothes. He also wrote about how this injury differs from what caused Morant to have surgery on that same shoulder last January (costing him the rest of last season).
None of that makes Morant happy.

Morant has looked like his old self and is playing at an All-Star, maybe All-NBA level so far this season, averaging 21.2 points, 7.9 assists and 4.4 rebounds a game.
Memphis will start Scotty Pippen Jr. in Morant’s place next to Desmond Bane in the backcourt. Marcus Smart is also out for Memphis due to a finger injury.
