Bob Boozer, a member of the United States 1960 Olympic gold medal team and former NBA All-Star has died due to a brain aneurysm at the age of 75.
Boozer was an 11-year NBA player after being the No. 1 overall pick by the Cincinnati Royals after his two All-American years at Kansas State. Over the course of his career he averaged 14.8 points and 8.1 rebounds rebounds per game. Boozer was an All-Star in 1968 and was part of the 1971 Milwaukee Bucks championship team led by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. He played for six teams during his 11 years in the association.
He may be best remembered as part of the 1960 Olympic team that won a gold medal behind Oscar Robertson and Jerry West. That team was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2010.
