Derrick Rose has had trouble finishing as well as he once did in Chicago, but the 2011 NBA MVP looked pretty dang good on Friday night when he threw down a slashing dunk on the New Orleans Pelicans.
The play started with Rose at the left of the 3-point line with a screen coming from his right from Carmelo Anthony. Rose dummied toward the pick, then quickly crossed over to his left in order to lose Jrue Holiday.
Kristaps Porzingis was at the free-throw line, pulling Anthony Davis out of the painted area.
That left an open lane for Rose to take off from two feet for a thunderous dunk over the helping E’Twaun Moore.
This deserves a RT to vote for @drose 🌹#NBAVOTE #NYKtoNOLA pic.twitter.com/rPjw3PKSYL
