Los Angeles Lakers point guard D’Angelo Russell has entered the 2016-17 season with one of the best new tattoos in the game. On his right calf, Russell now has a large tattoo honoring the late fellow Kentucky native Muhammad Ali.

Russell and Ali are natives of Louisville, Kentucky, and both attended Central High School (Russell later transferred to Monteverde Academy in Florida).
Ali passed in June of 2016 at age 74, and Russell’s tattoo is an excellent tribute to the late boxer and political activist.
Certainly better than Kevin Durant’s recent tattoo of Rick James’ face.
