Other than Stephen Curry, Damian Lillard is probably the NBA player most likely to pull up from near halfcourt and make a shot like it’s a layup. That’s what he did near the end of the first quarter of the Blazers’ Wednesday night game in Boston.
Unfortunately, Lillard’s shot was waved off. Tyler Zeller wrapped up Ed Davis, which the officials ruled happened before Lillard’s shot. It should have counted on principle.
