Craig Sager’s daughter Kacy brought a touch of levity to his memorial service

Craig Sager, the legendary TNT sideline reporter, passed away last week at the age of 65 from leukemia. Public memorials have been displayed in droves, but on Tuesday Sager’s actual memorial gathered former co-workers, NBA players, family, and friends to remember a life that touched so many in a positive way.

Current TNT host Ernie Johnson gave a particularly moving speech, and Gregg Popovich even flew in to Atlanta for the ceremony despite the San Antonio Spurs having a game on Tuesday night in Houston against the Rockets.

And while memorial services are a place for grieving, so too are they for remembering the life of those who lived and have passed. Sager’s daughter, Kacy, did that in a way befitting of her father as she spoke at the memorial:

A twinge of sad through a smile, that’s how I think we all feel about Sager right now.
