Just in case you wondered why the Nets had trouble trading Kris Humphries and his $12 million contract at the deadline….
Humphries has played less than 15 minutes in five of the Nets last six games, and he played just two minutes against the Bulls on Tuesday. Now he’s not even going to get to play that much, tweets Stephen Bondy of the New York Daily News.

The Nets brought Humphries back for a couple years under their “we have to put some kind of team together to get Deron Williams back, let’s overpay everyone” plan. They needed size and rebounding, Humphries brought those things. By the way Brooklyn fans, I hope you like this roster pretty much as is because you are locked into it for a while.
Humphries was never a great player but he was a strong rebounder, played within himself most of the time and was pretty efficient when he did shoot. This season he shoots less and isn’t doing it as well, and he’s fallen out of favor with P.J. Carlesimo.
The Nets will again try to move Humphries this summer, but that likely isn’t going to go a lot better than it did at the deadline. At $12 million a year, there isn’t a market for Humphries.
