“We got a call.”
And with that, Carmelo Anthony’s acting career was launched. (Actually, it was already launched on NBC’s Law & Order: SVU, but you get the idea.)
What you see above is a six-second clip (thank you VINE) of the latest episode of FX’s “Sons of Anarchy,” a show that a number of my friends love (and are sad it is in its last season) but honestly not one I’ve watched any of. It’s on my list of things to get to, right after The Wire, which I have yet to start. Anyway, Anthony plays a knife-wielding henchman (other clips show the knife, check out Posting and Toasting). He makes a good henchmen... well, not on the court but off it.
Wednesday night the Knicks tip-off the season and the question there is what role will Anthony play in the triangle: Ball stopping, volume-shooting forward or ball-moving, in-the-flow team leader? Phil Jackson cast him as the latter, but we shall see.
