  • CHA Center #3
The Hornets have signed Marques Bolden to a two-way contract and wavied Nate Mensah.
Bolden signed a 10-day with Charlotte on February 20th, and he impressed them enough for them to keep him around. He will likely spend most of his time in the G-League, so this won’t impact fantasy hoops.
  • CHA Center #4
Nick Richards (right ankle sprain) is doubtful for Monday’s matchup with the Timberwolves.
Richards has missed two straight, and he’ll likely be out for at least one more contest. PJ Washington, JT Thor and Nathan Mensah have taken on additional responsibilities with both Richards and Mark Williams sidelined, but only Washington is worth streaming. Mensah has averaged 19 minutes per game over the last two but turned the playing time into averages of zero points, three rebounds and a block. Thor played 22 minutes Saturday and finished with seven points, six boards and a swat. Cody Martin (knee) is also questionable, which means Charlotte’s rotation could be incredibly thin in this one.
  • CHA Point Guard #1
LaMelo Ball (right ankle soreness), Bryce McGowens (left hip flexor strain) and Nick Richards (right ankle) are questionable to play against the 76ers on Saturday.
LaMelo injured his ankle during Friday’s game, but he was able to finish it out. Now he is questionable on the second night of a back-to-back, and it wouldn’t be surprising if they gave him the night off. If that happens, Terry Rozier would shift to point guard, which would leave an open spot in the starting unit. McGowens could fill that if he plays, and if he doesn’t Cody Martin could move back to a starting role. PJ Washington started at center in their last game with Richards out, though Nate Mensah still logged 20 minutes off the bench.
  • CHA Power Forward #25
The Hornets will start LaMelo Ball, Terry Rozier, Brandon Miller, Miles Bridges and PJ Washington against the Pelicans on Friday.
With Miller back, Cody Martin will return to a reserve role, which will eliminate most of the streaming value that he held. Washington will start at center in place of Nick Richards, who is out with an ankle injury. Nate Mensah should play the backup center minutes, but he doesn’t have much streaming appeal off the bench.
  • CHA Center #4
Nick Richards (right ankle) has been downgraded to out for Friday’s game against the Pelicans.
Richards will miss this game despite being able to close out Wednesday’s game with the ankle injury. Nate Mensah should get the start at center, with PJ Washington filling out the center minutes off the bench. Mensah didn’t do much in 13 minutes on Wednesday, but he should get a big opportunity in this game.
  • CHA Center #5
Steve Clifford said on Friday that he doesn’t “think [Mark Williams] is very close” to returning to the court.
Clifford added that "[Williams has] had a couple of setbacks. It’s a back so it’s not something you want to mess around with. He’s not doing as much now as he was 3-4 weeks ago.” That should be alarming, since he last played six weeks ago. The Hornets haven’t provided much clarity on the situation, but now we know that Williams should be out a while longer. Nick Richards and Nate Mensah will continue to be the center options for the foreseeable future.
  • CHA Small Forward #24
Brandon Miller (low back contusion), Nick Richards, (right ankle) and Bryce McGowens (left hip flexor strain) are questionable to play against the Pelicans on Friday.
McGowens missed the team’s last game on Wednesday, while Miller has been sidelined for their last two. Richards exited briefly from Wednesday’s game due to the ankle injury, but he was able to finish it out. If all three remain sidelined, Cody Martin will continue to start on the wing, and Nate Mensah will likely join him in the starting unit as the team’s main center option.
  • CHA Power Forward #25
PJ Washington (right foot sprain) is doubtful and Cody Martin (groin strain) is questionable for Friday’s matchup with the Spurs.
Martin has missed two straight, while Washington has been sidelined for three. JT Thor and Nathan Mensah could see more minutes in place of Washington, while Bryce McGowens could log some extra playing time in place of Martin. None of those three, however, are particularly appealing fantasy options.
  • CHA Center #31
Nathan Mensah (personal reasons) is not on the injury report for Wednesday’s game against the Pacers.
Mensah did not make the trip to Toronto for Monday’s game against the Raptors, but he’ll return on Wednesday. Look for him to back up Nick Richards, as starter Mark Williams (back) is doubtful to play.
  • CHA Center #31
Nathan Mensah (personal reasons) will not play in Toronto on Monday.
Mensah is not with the team and won’t play on Monday. He has played a decent-sized role off the bench recently with Mark Williams out, but they’ll have to rely on Nick Richards and PJ Washington (if he plays) to fill the minutes at center.
