As of right now, Nate Robinson is probably the starting shooting guard for the Knicks.
They’re going to try to get a free agent, such as Kevin Ollie or Earl Watson and also supposedly have interest in Cleveland’s Eric Snow. Robinson blew people away in the Summer League, and it’s feasible that he could be the starter if the Knicks don’t sign another point guard. Stephon Marbury will be the starting shooting guard this season, backed up by Jamal Crawford.
  • GSW Point Guard #30
Stephen Curry (foot) will “try” to play on Wednesday against the Hawks.
If he can’t play Wednesday, Curry will try to play against the Sixers on Friday. Curry said that he’ll sit out long enough to know that it’s healed, and the Warriors won’t bring him back onto the court until he’s completely cleared. The doctor who performed Curry’s offseason ankle surgery said an extended rest was not necessary, and owners will have to play the waiting game with Curry while he recovers from his latest ailment. He’s played in just 21 of 31 games this season.
  • GSW Point Guard #30
Stephen Curry (ankle) and the Golden State medical staff will meet to formulate a recovery plan.
GM Larry Riley already said he wasn’t sure when Curry would play again, but admitted that the guard will have to be 100 percent for him to return to the floor. Curry remains a shutdown candidate, and Nate Robinson will likely continue to start for as long as Curry is out.
  • NYK Point Guard #22
Nate Robinson (hamstring) is in the starting lineup for the Warriors on Wednesday night.
He could struggle against the physical Jarrett Jack, but has been playing well enough to be in lineups when healthy.
  • NYK Point Guard #22
Nate Robinson returned from his hamstring injury on Wednesday, but missed all six of his shots and failed to score, but did hand out six assists.
He’s back, but struggled tonight. Charles Jenkins left with a sprained ankle tonight, so Nate should be a solid option going forward. Just check back to make sure his hamstring is good to go after his 23 minutes tonight.
  • PHI Point Guard #31
Charles Jenkins left Wednesday’s game after 15 minutes when he sprained his right ankle after stepping on the foot of a fan seated courtside.
The guy didn’t even try to get out of the way, and Jenkins, who had four points and one assist off the bench, paid the price. With Nate Robinson back in action from a hamstring injury, Jenkins can be dropped in most leagues.
  • NYK Point Guard #22
Nate Robinson hit just 2-of-10 shots on Friday against the Jazz, scoring six points with zero rebounds, four assists, and one steal in 23 minutes.
Robinson is going to trade off bigger nights with Charles Jenkins (eight points, seven assists), but coming off the bench he might have a lower ‘floor’ than Jenkins. Their value is pretty similar right now and both should be owned in 12-team formats.
  • PHI Point Guard #31
Charles Jenkins scored eight points on 4-of-9 shooting with one rebound, seven assists, and one steal in 25 minutes on Friday against the Jazz.
Jenkins was allowed to roll into a third first-quarter foul tonight, which is a new wrinkle of Mark Jackson’s coaching acumen gracing us with its presence lately. He seems to have the starting job on lockdown and both he and Nate Robinson (six points, four assists) are worth owning in 12-team formats, despite the slow results.
  • NYK Point Guard #22
Beat writer Matt Steinmetz said he has “no clue” if Nate Robinson (hamstring) will play again this season.
Robinson’s tricky hamstring issue acted up again and kept him out of Wednesday’s loss to the Lakers. The Warriors have a back-to-back coming up on Friday/Saturday and we can only consider him very questionable for that set. Charles Jenkins will continue to log 30-plus minutes whenever Robinson sits. Officially, the Warriors have listed Robinson as day-to-day.
  • PHI Point Guard #31
Charles Jenkins had six points, 11 assists and a steal in 32 minutes on Wednesday.
Nate Robinson was held out due to a hamstring injury, so Jenkins got extra minutes tonight. If Robinson remains out, Jenkins will probably be worth owning if you need a point guard, so watch for updates on Lil Nate going forward.
