According to TNT’s Chris Haynes, the Heat are signing Nassir Little to a one-year deal.
After being waived by the Suns on August 21, Little will have another opportunity to solidify his NBA standing in Miami. While the Heat have an open standard contract slot, signing Little to a standard deal now would significantly impact the team’s luxury tax standing. He may have agreed to a partially (or non) guaranteed contract. Little appeared in 45 games last season, averaging 3.4 points and 1.7 rebounds in 10.2 minutes. His addition to the Heat roster will not impact fantasy basketball.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Suns will waive Nassir Little and EJ Liddell.
Phoenix had 16 players under standard contracts for the 2024-25 season, so something had to give. Liddell’s reported exit is unsurprising, as he was not believed to be in the Suns’ plans after being acquired from the Hawks earlier this summer. As for Little, the 2019 first-round pick only appeared in 45 games last season, posting averages of 3.4 points and 1.7 rebounds in 10.2 minutes. His departure will have a financial impact, as the Suns will stretch the remaining $22 million on Little’s contract. Rookies Ryan Dunn and Oso Ighodaro are expected to be given every opportunity to earn rotation minutes next season.
  • PHX Small Forward #25
Nassir Little (left knee inflammation) is available for Thursday’s game against the Celtics.
Little last played in a game on February 25. While his return gives the Suns another potential option at the forward spots, he’s unlikely to impact fantasy basketball.
  • PHX Small Forward #25
Nassir Little underwent a PRP injection on his left knee that will keep him out “about a week or so”, accroding to head coach Frank Vogel.
Little has been sidelined for their last four games, and he will likely miss at least three more. He wasn’t seeing many minutes before the injury, though Bol Bol has been able to absorb those and will continue to for a few more games. Josh Okogie, who has missed their last two games, is “about where he was the other day”, according to Vogel. Eric Gordon and Saben Lee should continue to see the perimeter minutes off the bench.
  • PHX Small Forward #25
Nassir Little (left knee inflammation) has been ruled out for Tuesday’s game against the Nuggets.
Little remains sidelined with an inflamed knee, and his absence means additional minutes for Bol Bol. That’s unlikely to impact fantasy basketball, as Bol is the ultimate “lottery ticket” in that regard.
  • PHX Shooting Guard #23
Eric Gordon (left groin soreness) and Nassir Little (left knee inflammation) have been ruled out for Saturday’s game against the Rockets.
Gordon and Little will remain sidelined, with the absence of the former being more impactful. Gordon’s continued absence means more playing time for Royce O’Neale, who will likely drop to the bench with the return of Bradley Beal. Little not being cleared means there is one less person for Bol Bol to compete with for bench minutes.
  • PHX Small Forward #25
Nassir Little (left knee inflammation) is doubtful for Saturday’s game against the Rockets.
Little has been bothered by left knee issues since January; the initial injury was tendinitis, and he has recently been on the injury report due to inflammation. With the recent play of Bol Bol, Little’s status will not impact fantasy basketball, especially since he hasn’t been a lock to play rotation minutes when healthy.
  • PHX Small Forward #25
Nassir Little (left knee inflammation) will not play in Thursday’s game against the Rockets.
Little missed time in January due to tendinitis in the same knee; he has not been in the rotation recently. He has appeared in 11 games since the calendar flipped to 2024, reaching double digits in minutes on two occasions. With Bol Bol being healthy and playing well in recent appearances, Little’s absence will not impact fantasy basketball.
  • PHX Small Forward #25
Nassir Little (left knee tendinitis) and Bol Bol (right ankle sprain) are available for Thursday’s game against the Lakers.
Little and Bol have been cleared to play, meaning the Suns will be the healthiest they’ve been all season. However, with Kevin Durant available, neither Little nor Bol stands to offer much fantasy value.
  • PHX Power Forward #11
Bol Bol (right ankle sprain) and Nassir Little (left knee tendinitis) have been ruled out for Monday’s game against the Clippers.
Bol has been ruled out for a second straight game, while Little has been sidelined since December 27. The absences won’t significantly impact fantasy basketball, as Kevin Durant has returned from a strained hamstring and is listed as probable to play on Monday.
