  • MIN Point Guard #10
Mike Conley recorded a stat line of seven points (2-of-5 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), four rebounds, two assists, two steals, and one 3-pointer in 21 minutes in Thursday’s 124-103 loss to the Mavericks.
Dealing with a strained right soleus muscle throughout the conference finals, Conley only played 21 minutes on Thursday. The nature of Game 5 had much to do with that, as Dallas blew things wide open during the first quarter and did not look back. This was a rough end for a veteran point guard who played in 76 games after injuries limited him to 24 the season prior. Conley’s scoring average decreased by over two points but still provided top 75 per-game value in 9-cat formats. Expecting that level of production from him would be unrealistic, especially since he’ll turn 37 in October, but Conley is undoubtedly capable.

Mike Conley (right soleus strain) is available for Thursday’s game against the Mavericks.
As expected, Conley is all set to play on Thursday night. Look for the veteran point guard to play a little over 30 minutes, as this has been the case throughout the series.

Mike Conley (right soleus strain) is questionable for Thursday’s game against the Mavericks.
Conley is once again on the preliminary injury report, but the expectation is that he will play in Game 5. The Timberwolves point guard has not missed a game this series, playing at least 31 minutes in all four games.

Mike Conley played 34 minutes in Tuesday’s 105-100 win over Dallas, tallying 14 points (5-of-9 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), three rebounds, seven assists, four steals, and one 3-pointer.
Conley continues to play through a strained soleus muscle in his calf, and he was solid on both ends of the floor in Game 4. The veteran point guard has shot 50% or better from the field in the last three games and was also responsible for four steals on Tuesday. By comparison, Conley had four steals in the first three games of this series. While Conley will likely show up on the injury report ahead of Game 5, DFS players should expect to see him on the court.

Mike Conley amassed 16 points (6-of-11 FGs), one rebound, four assists, one steal, and four 3-pointers in 31 minutes in Sunday’s Game 3 loss to the Mavericks.
Due to a strained soleus muscle, Conley is playing at less than full strength. However, give the veteran point guard credit for pushing through the injury, as he had another efficient performance in Game 3. The issue is that the Timberwolves don’t have a good matchup for Conley on the defensive end of the floor. The calf injury keeps him from being effective in guarding Luka Doncic or Kyrie Irving, and forwards Derrick Jones Jr. and PJ Washington are too big. Nickeil Alexander-Walker (3/2/3 with one 3-pointer in 20 minutes) and Kyle Anderson (10 points, three assists, and two blocks in 17 minutes) may have to do a little more in Game 4 on Tuesday, but it won’t matter if the Timberwolves don’t get better play from Karl-Anthony Towns.

Mike Conley (right soleus strain) is available for Sunday’s game against the Mavericks.
As expected, Conley will be available for Sunday’s game. He will assume his usual responsibilities as the Timberwolves’ starting point guard. Should Conley have any issues with his injured calf, Nickeil Alexander-Walker will play additional minutes off the bench.

Mike Conley (right soleus strain) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Mavericks.
Once again, Conley shows up on the initial injury report due to his calf injury. Look for the Timberwolves to follow a similar pattern, with the veteran point guard’s status upgraded after his pregame workout. Nickeil Alexander-Walker will start if Conley cannot play, but expect the veteran point guard to be available.

Mike Conley accumulated 18 points (7-of-14 FGs, 2-of-3 FTs), five rebounds, five assists, one steal, one block, and two 3-pointers in 33 minutes in Friday’s 109-108 loss to Dallas.
Conley has played 31 minutes or more in four straight games since missing Game 5 of Minnesota’s second-round series with Denver with a strained right soleus muscle. However, his offensive impact was limited before Friday night. The 18 points are the most Conley has scored in a game since Game 2 of Minnesota’s four-game sweep of the Suns. And his production on Friday was one reason why the Timberwolves had a chance to win despite Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns continuing to struggle. Conley hasn’t suffered a setback regarding his calf injury, which has been one of the few positives for Minnesota in the conference finals. Game 3 is on Sunday in Dallas, with the Mavericks holding a 2-0 lead.

Mike Conley (right soleus strain) is available for Friday’s game against the Mavericks.
After playing 31 minutes in Wednesday’s series-opening defeat, Conley is available for Game 2. The Timberwolves will stick with their usual starting lineup; Conley is joined by Anthony Edwards, Jaden McDaniels, Karl-Anthony Towns, and Rudy Gobert.

Mike Conley (right soleus strain) is questionable for Game 2 against Dallas on Friday.
Conley is once again listed as questionable on the injury report, but after playing 31 minutes in Game 1, he should be good to go again on Friday. If not, Nickeil Alexander-Walker should slide into the starting unit in his place.
