  • NBA Center #19
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Bulls are waiving Marko Simonovic.
The 44th overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, Simonovic was unable to carve out a role for himself in Chicago. Over two NBA seasons, the 6-foot-11 center appeared in a total of 16 games. Had he not been waived by July 7, Simonovic’s salary for the 2023-24 season would have been guaranteed.

Marko Simonovic (cervical strain) is probable for Tuesday’s game against the Clippers.
Simonovic could be cleared to play Tuesday night, but that doesn’t mean he’ll actually get in the game. He wasn’t in the rotation most nights when healthy, so don’t expect anything to change once he’s cleared.

Marko Simonovic will not play in Saturday’s game against the Magic due to a cervical strain.
Simonovic isn’t in the rotation most nights when healthy, so this won’t impact fantasy basketball in the slightest.

Marko Simonovic has been ruled out for Thursday’s game against the Hornets with a cervical strain.
Simonovic isn’t in the rotation when healthy, so his absence will not impact fantasy basketball.

  • NOP Small Forward #33
Malcolm Hill hit 7-of-11 shots for 23 points in Saturday’s victory over the 76ers, also tallying two rebounds, one assist, two steals, four 3-pointers and one turnover in 27 minutes.
Hill has a bit of NBA experience under his belt, so seeing him hoop like he did this evening and average double figures in the scoring column this Summer League shouldn’t be too shocking. He and Marko Simonovic (26/7/0/1/1) were the best Bulls in the SL finale, and Simonovic has been even better and is coming off a 17-point, 13-board double-double on Thursday. Like Hill, Simonovic has some NBA experience, but the depth chart in Chicago doesn’t look much different than last season, meaning neither guy is an attractive fantasy option at the moment.

Marko Simonovic finished with 17 points, 13 rebounds and four assists in Thursday’s easy win over the Hornets.
This was Simonovic’s best game of Summer League, and the big man has averaged 13 points and nine boards thus far. He’s buried in Chicago’s surprisingly-crowded center rotation and is unlikely to see much playing time this upcoming season.

In Friday’s Summer League OT win over the Mavericks, Marko Simonovic double-doubled to the tune of 27 points (10-of-19 FGs, 7-of-8 FTs), 13 rebounds, one assist, one steal, three blocks and two turnovers in 30 minutes.
Gotta love Summer League overtime, right? Simonovic sent the game to an overtime period with a two-handed dunk, converted on an and-one fastbreak layup in overtime, then made a clutch free throw with 0.7 seconds left to officially get the job done. While most eyes were likely going to be on newly drafted Dalen Terry, Simonovic impressed the most and led the team in most statistical categories. He’s coming off of one NBA season in which he played nine games for the Bulls, but things may not be much better next season with Nikola Vučević still a Bull and the team signing Andre Drummond to back him up next season. Terry tallied a 9/5/6 line with a block but did turn it over six times, but he had some very impressive moments on the defensive end, while Malcolm Hill dropped in 18 points with six boards and a pair of triples.

Marko Simonovic (conditioning) is not listed on the injury report ahead of Friday’s game against the Wizards.
Simonovic was not a fantasy target when healthy earlier this season, and nothing has changed since. Leave him on the waiver wire.

Bulls Forward Marko Simonovic has cleared the NBA’s health and safety protocols, according to K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago.
Simonovic was back at practice on Wednesday getting shots up. We are unsure of his availability for Friday, but either way he is not a fantasy prospect. We will consider him questionable for now.

Marko Simonovic has entered the league’s health and safety protocols, according to Rob Schaefer of NBC Sports Chicago.
Simonovic has only appeared in four games of the Bulls this season, with averages of 1.3 points per game with 0.8 rebounds. This news won’t have any effect on fantasy hoops.
