Seattle’s point guards will do more of the ball handling this season, coach Nate McMillan said.
Luke Ridnour and Antonio Daniels are expected to share the role. “Last year, we had too many people deciding what would happen and there was a lack of consistency going on,” McMillan said. “We’d have Brent (Barry), AD (Daniels), Luke, Ray (Allen) and Rashard [Lewis] and Vlade (Radmanovic) sometimes handling the ball. This, I think, makes us more focused. In a sense, roles are being defined.” The scheme takes away a little of the do-everything freedom Lewis had previously enjoyed.
