Stephen Curry (left knee bursitis), Draymond Green (right elbow soreness), and Lindy Waters III (illness) are available for Saturday’s game against the Spurs.
Curry, Green, and Waters were initially probable for Saturday’s game, so this was the expected outcome. They make up three-fifths of the Warriors’ starting lineup, with Andrew Wiggins and Trayce Jackson-Davis completing the quintet.
  • GSW Shooting Guard #43
Lindy Waters III (illness) and Gary Payton II (left knee inflammation) are listed as probable for Saturday’s game against the Spurs.
GP2 hasn’t really impacted fantasy basketball this season, but Waters has started their last four games. Both players should be good to go in this one, but Waters only played 15 minutes on Friday. He’ll look to bounce back against the Spurs after struggling against New Orleans.
  • GSW Shooting Guard #8
The Warriors announced Thursday that De’Anthony Melton will miss the remainder of 2024-25 with a sprained ACL. He’s set to undergo surgery in the near future.
Melton missed two games after being diagnosed with a sprained ACL and Lindy Waters III filled in as a starter in those contests. He’ll get a chance to establish himself as a more important part of the rotation that Golden State’s backcourt depth has been diminished.
  • GSW Point Guard #30
Stephen Curry (left knee bursitis) and Lindy Waters III (left knee hyperextension) are available for Monday’s game against the Clippers.
Curry and Waters are available after the Warriors initially listed them as questionable for Monday’s game. While Curry’s place within the rotation is well-known, that isn’t the case for Waters. He started Friday’s win over Memphis, the game in which he was injured, but the Warriors have multiple options to start next to Curry. If Waters gets another start, he’s only worth a look in deep leagues.
  • GSW Shooting Guard #43
Lindy Waters Jr. (left knee hyperextension) is listed as questionable for Monday’s Warriors-Clippers game.
Waters has given the Dubs some nice scoring off the bench. His counting stats aren’t great because of the elite shooters ahead of him on the depth chart. His absence won’t make any other backup Warriors guards significantly more valuable.
  • GSW Shooting Guard #43
Lindy Waters III (left knee hyperextension) will not return to Friday’s game against the Grizzlies.
Waters injured his knee when he landed awkwardly after attempting to block a layup attempt. While he did limp back to the locker room under his own power, the Warriors guard was not on the bench to begin the third quarter. He finishes with eight points, one assist, one block, and two 3-pointers in 11 minutes. Brandin Podziemski started the third quarter in Waters’ place.
  • GSW Shooting Guard #43
The Warriors will start Stephen Curry, Lindy Waters III, Andrew Wiggins, Draymond Green and Trayce Jackson-Davis against the Grizzlies on Friday.
It seemed like Steve Kerr had a lineup that he was comfortable with before De’Anthony Melton’s injury. Waters will get the first crack as the starter in his place, but it wouldn’t be surprising if he made changes over the next few games. Moses Moody and Brandin Podziemski should see extra minutes off the bench.
  • GSW Shooting Guard #2
Brandin Podziemski (illness) will remain sidelined for Wednesday’s game against the Celtics.
After exiting early from Monday’s game, Podz will remain sidelined with the same ailment in this one. Moses Moody and Lindy Waters III should both see some extra minutes off the bench, while Gary Payton II got the start in their last game. However, none of them are great replacement options in fantasy, especially on a day with 12 games being played.
  • GSW Shooting Guard #43
Lindy Waters III got the start on Wednesday and finished with three points (1-of-5 FGs), one rebound, three assists, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer against the Pelicans.
After finishing with 21 points, eight rebounds and four assists against the Pelicans on Tuesday, Waters was rewarded with the starting nod in this game. Unfortunately, the production didn’t translate. Waters was able to chip in some defensive numbers, but after what he did the night before against the same team, this output was disappointing. Waters was always a high-risk, high-reward streamer, and managers shouldn’t try to stick with him past this game. Stephen Curry, De’Anthony Melton and Andrew Wiggins will all have a chance to return against Houston on Saturday, which would likely take away most of Waters’ minutes.
  • GSW Shooting Guard #43
The Warriors will start Brandin Podziemski, Lindy Waters III, Moses Moody, Draymond Green and Trayce Jackson-Davis against the Peleicans on Wednesday.
Buddy Hield got the start in their last game in place of the injured Andrew Wiggins, but he’ll play a large reserve role in this one. Waters, who put up 21/8/4 off the bench in 31 minutes on Tuesday, will get his first start as a Warrior.
