Ron Holland and Marcus Sasser have each been suspended a game for their roles in Sunday’s altercation with the Timberwolves.
Sasser, Holland and Isaiah Stewart will all sit out Wednesday’s matchup with the Thunder, while Stewart will miss an additional game after getting slapped with a two-game suspension. Neither Sasser nor Holland has played meaningful minutes consistently this season, but their absences will allow Simone Fontecchio and Lindy Waters III to log a little extra court time.
  • DET Point Guard #17
Dennis Schroder tallied five points (1-of-4 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), three assists, and one 3-pointer in 15 minutes in Sunday’s win over the Hornets.
Schroder made his Pistons debut on Sunday. As expected, his role was limited. Of course, getting used to a new system and teammates is necessary. However, the more significant issue for Schroder is the depth chart, as he’s backing up an All-Star in Cade Cunningham. That limits the veteran point guard’s fantasy ceiling significantly, making him a deep-league player at best. As for the other former Warrior acquired by the Pistons, Lindy Waters III was a DNP-CD on Sunday. He faces an even more challenging climb to rotation minutes than Schroder.
  • DET Point Guard #17
Dennis Schroder and Lindy Waters III (trade pending) are available for Sunday’s game against Charlotte.
Schroder and Waters were traded to the Pistons at the deadline, and the former has a better chance of cracking the rotation. Cade Cunningham is considered probable for Sunday’s game, and Schroder likely slots in behind him as the backup point guard. While this would not make the former Warrior a player worth rostering in standard leagues, it would likely push Marcus Sasser out of the rotation. As for Waters, Detroit doesn’t lack options on the wings, even with Jaden Ivey (fractured fibula) sidelined.

  • DET Point Guard #17
Dennis Schroder and Lindy Waters III (trade pending) are questionable to play against the Hornets on Sunday.
Schroder and Waters were Detroit’s two acquisitions are the trade deadline, and while Waters III likely won’t play a significant role for the Pistons, Schroder should have a chance to slot in as the team’s backup point guard. With Cade Cunningham in front of him, Schroder may not be able to provide standard league value, but he can help Detroit make some noise in the postseason.
  • DET Point Guard #71
Dennis Schroder (trade pending) is out for Friday’s matchup with the 76ers.
Schroder won’t make his Pistons debut Friday, and his next chance to do so will come Sunday against Charlotte. Newly acquired Lindy Waters III will also sit this one out while his trade is pending.
  • GSW Shooting Guard #43
According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Lindy Waters III and Josh Richardson are headed to the Detroit Pistons as part of the blockbuster trade that sent Jimmy Butler to the Warriors.
Waters is an interesting get for the Pistons. The 27-year-old shooting guard averaged 5.5 points per game in 38 games with the Warriors this season. The Pistons are now over the roster limit after acquiring Waters along with Josh Richardson and KJ Martin. There’s definitely more moves coming for the Pistons soon.
  • GSW Small Forward #22
Andrew Wiggins (back) is probable to play against the Lakers on Saturday.
Wiggins is back on the injury report, with a case of bilateral lower back soreness being the reason. The good news for fantasy managers is that he’s considered probable for Saturday’s game, so Wiggins should be on the court. Moses Moody and Lindy Waters III are two players who would be impacted by Wiggins’ status, with the former offering a higher ceiling.
  • GSW Shooting Guard #43
Lindy Waters III (left shoulder strain) is available for Thursday’s game against the Bulls.
Waters is available for Thursday’s game after the Warriors listed him as questionable on the initial injury report. However, so are Gary Payton II, Buddy Hield, and Brandin Podziemski, to name three. Waters may play, but he’s unlikely to get the opportunities to impact fantasy basketball.
  • GSW Shooting Guard #43
Lindy Waters III (left shoulder strain) is questionable to play against Chicago on Thursday.
Waters has had some solid performances throughout the season, but he has largely been irrelevant in fantasy basketball. If he misses this game, his minutes will likely be split between Buddy Hield, Moses Moody and Brandin Podziemski.
  • GSW Small Forward #22
Andrew Wiggins (personal reasons) rejoined the team for practice on Sunday ahead of their matchup with the Raptors on Sunday.
Wiggins has been sidelined for their last two games, but he was back with the team on Sunday and should be good to go on Monday. Lindy Waters III got the starting nod in his place in their last game, but he should return to playing a reserve role with Wiggins back.
